Mandel's mailbag of emails and his responses soothe the need for some much needed CFB discussion, thought and perhaps controversy:

And for good measure....I have seen a whole topic on Gatorsports with this frame photoshopped in various famous paintings and prints.
It is a very amusing and creative line-up of photoshops that these Gator fans have created but I thought it too sensitive to post on Skybox based on the responses I usually get from such things. Too bad because it was damned funny even if you were not a Gator fan but had a sense of humor.

Anyway...here is the link to the photo headlining today's CNNSI:

Interesing Mailbag. He's right of course with regards to the up/down cycle of conferences. It wasn't that long ago that the SEC West was a wasteland and the PAC10 with USC being down was not much better than the WAC or Mtn West.

I thought his comments on Dennis Erickson at AzState were right on the money. ASU can expect low character JUC0's and more wins!

I remember those days. The only team that Stanford, Oregon and UCLA could beat was Texas...

Ah yes. letters from Miss. and Ga. ranting about the Big Ten being overrated. Wasn't the SEC 1-2 vs the Big Ten in bowls this year?

I think you are right gipper, however that one win by the SEC was the one us Gators cared most about!

I think LSU did pretty well against one of those midwestern schools as well.
