Looks like the Crimson Tide took attendance honors with 92,000 in attendance. Ohio State had 74,000 and I think Notre Dame had something like 51,000, a new record. Don
Jif, If you have to ask that then you obviously don't understand Alabama football. We know our football, we feel we belong at the top, we believe we have the coach to get us back to the top, and we want to see for ourselves what our new coach has done. The last 10 years have been a tough period in our long history and we are ready to move on. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon, what could be better than going out and watching Alabama football?
Jif, We dot have any doughnut shops to occupy our time! KP, I m anxious to see how the Crimson Tide fares under Sabin. Don
The Gators came in at 47,500. 92,000 has to be a record. And jif, I've been to several spring games and would have gone to this one if I didn't have a conflict!
Watching the same team bang heads with each other makes no sense to me. At least if they played another school...well not even then. But then again in Nebraska the only other thing to do, I guess, is watch corn grow. I guess those of us who have major League baseball are very lucky. I cant imagine just being able to see a Saturday GAME OF THE WEEK on TV. I need all Red Sox baseball 7/11 during the baseball season :!: :!:
Don, Me too. I think Shula would have won this year to, but the offense has to perform better than the last 2 years and I think Sabin can make that happen. We will see. Jif, Whew! Down to the last 145 games! Backs against the wall right? Call me in August.
Let me put this in context for you <t>As one who really doesn't have a dog in this race, but gets to witness it first hand. I will try to use comparisons that you can all relate to in a vain attempt to give you some understand of 'why 93k'<br/> <br/> Alabama has had the success of a New York Yankees, but their fans hold the passionate insecurities of Red Sox fans. Like Yankee fans, the best title for them is the next one because they are always in a race to put perform their own legacy. ND fans can appreciate this, perhaps even moreso..<br/> <br/> Bama fans have had to endure one side show after another that is rolled out before them, and the worst thing about it is..... its their own damned fault. The boosters, the AD, their own vanity... They want to win, they need to win and rather than let the best man do the job... they try to create a whole new dynasty while doing it within their own self inflicted parameters of 'winning the Bear's way.'<br/> <br/> While Bama has been 'away' they have had to endure the less than gracious success of their two dreaded rivals (Tennessee and Auburn). Now in defense of those rivals, its not like Bama fans don't pile it on when they are on top.. I'm just saying that Tide fans have had their nose rubbed in it for a long time.<br/> <br/> They've hired a string of nice guys, pretenders and idiots. None of whom were the fiery, iron fisted, 'my way or the highway' type of a-hole that Nick Saban is... Bama fans admired this guy from a distance while he was at LSU and pounced on the first chance to get him when it came around.<br/> <br/> Alabama believes this is the man. There is nervous laughter and skiddish jokes coming from their rivals. This place is a powder keg and its ready to go. <br/> <br/> No one loves college football more than Alabama Crimson Tide fans, and you must understand, to them...they are college football.. and the fuse is running short on the keg.... what's in the keg?? we're about to find out.</t>
What do you expect, hanging around BDR, Bobda, JO'Co, Corey, you, and of course the Notorious G.I.P.. Something's got to rub off. The difference is that I come up with one only once every full moon. You guys each have a back pocket full of 'em.
Hmmmm..... those faces look familair. Texas....Flordia...Virginny...Central Ohio? Naah it can't be
