America’s Team 2 Evil Empire 0. Dodgers slapped their 2 aces on the table with Skubal and Yamamoto and now head home suffering from a Milwaukee hangover.

Gritty win. Other than Contreras' bomb, it was pure hustle baseball and solid relief pitching. I've never seen so many lefty pitchers for both sides in one game. Warren Spahn is smiling. Still a long way to go.

Guardians experience nice win vs Tampa Bay in their opening game. They started out slow but the bats came alive as the game unfolded.

Ohtani's play so far in the playoffs has not been worthy of the $$$$ that he earns and that has clearly hurt the Dodgers.

Trade with the Yankees. NY gets Ohtani...LA gets Judge. Oh, and throw that overpriced chunk of Sirloin called Stanton in, and we'll call it even.

Dodger fans apparently gave up before the game as the attendance was sparse at best.

Congratulations, Bobda. The Brewers - for me - harken back to the old school teams of my earlier life who refused to lose, who scratched and clawed game after game to overcome the opponent. I think of Bob Gibson, my all-time favorite pitcher, how he would fit well with the Brewers. The game is much different today, but Pat Murphy has them playing like a team who could compete in any of the past eras. I always will be a lifelong Cubs fan, but this post season I'm on the Brewers bus.

2nd time for Brewers in the WS, 1st time as a NL Penant champ. To my knowledge, the Stros are the only other team to have done that. Has a team ever won the WS representing each league?

The Kid is up at the game tonight. He went up last night for the big rainout.
