That stupid, stupid celebration completely reversed the momentum. We have to try to get it back in the 2nd half.
Irish didn't play esp well on offense or defense. That MSU kid doesn't drop a sure TD pass it's a tie game. This team is a work in progress, running game is very average and we can't get to a NC game with this current running game. Not surprised though that MSU has some to ND Stadium and played well though. Need to force a punt on the 1st series from MSU coming out of half time.
CJ Carr is definitely elite. His ability to check into a different but correct play at the line of scrimmage is impressive.
I like CJ a lot, but to me to be an elite "college" QB you have to be able to be able to threaten the defense with your legs. That Ole Miss QB is an elite athlete and an elite QB. CJ has a great/accurate arm, I just wish he was as good with his legs.
Tough hard fought win for the Irish. Defense came alive in the 2nd half and gave the MSU offense a lot of problems. Nolan James had an excellent night running the ball in the 2nd half. Good solid win. Lot of work left to do to become a team who can truly compete for a Title.
MSU looked to me to be a better team than we've seen in recent years. I don't know what kind of season they'll have in the Big 10, but I believe they'll end their bowl game drought. Props to their very good LB who refused to let an arm injury keep him out. He obviously was in pain toward the end but left it all on the field. As for ND, I sure hope Coach Freeman's sideline dressing down cured those knuckleheads of TD celebrations in the future. I loved seeing Carr bull his way into the end zone for the TD. If there ever was any doubt about his toughness, that play erased it. Great game for Luke Talich, my favorite former preferred walk-on, who was all over the field making plays including an INT.
Well the MSU game was………interesting for sure. Looks like we may have found our true starting RB, Nolan James. After Ash let the defense do their thing it was over.
