Some good news, the two injured players are not lost for the season. Notre Dame will be without starting defenders Brauntae Johnson and Jason Onye for several weeks, but could regain linebacker Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa for Saturday's home opener against Rice. Johnson (left foot) and Onye (left ankle) both sustained injuries in the first half of Sunday's season-opening win against Wisconsin at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Coach Marcus Freeman said both will be out a few weeks but will return later this season.
Not a good start for the Owls, already 3 fumbles, Irish recover for a TD on one and recover for 1st down Irish.
3 plays after the fumble recovery, Irish score again. Great throw by Carr and equally great catch by Faison! 10 minutes left in 1st Qtr and Irish lead 14-0
42-0 about a minute left in the 1st half. Passing game has been awesome, running game has not. Empty the benches in the 2nd half.
On another football note, European style, the Irish Men and Women both won today vs Clemson. Men on the road and the Women at home.
