There were/are high hopes for the Women's Soccer team, but they've gotten off to a bit of a slow start by drawing with both Samford and Penn State. Lots of time left and a very challenging ACC schedule to still attain all their goals.

Not sounding like our Buckeye transfer WR, Quincy Porter, will be ready to play before midseason at best.

Interesting comment from our transfer kicker from Purdue, Spencer Porath.

As for the transition to life at Notre Dame outside of Shields Hall, it couldn’t be going better.

“I got to spend the first semester in the dorm,” said Porath. “Shout out to Siegfried. I never lived in a dorm at Purdue, so it was just so tight-knit. The relationships you build, it was instant. It was like right when I showed up on campus, everyone was so nice, and it was just great to get to hang out with those guys and kind of get to know them as well.”

One of the players who was previously out of eligibility and off to the NFL but got a ruling that they could come back for another year was Irish defender Junior Tuihalamaka. The Irish decided against bringing him back as he didn't participate in the Spring or in the Summer Conditioning. So he's in the Portal, good luck to him. I hope this is the end of all these court deals that give players all kinds of extra years. The QB at Ole Miss is playing his 6th year after playing 4 years at Div2.

The Irish scrimmage today as an end to the fall camp, next week starts the prep for Wisconsin and the season. Freeman will have press conference after the scrimmage.

Saw the news about Quincy Porter, tough break for he and the Irish. What's the word about Mylan Graham? I was disappoointed when they left, hope they get to see the field and have great years. They've got a helluva of a QB behind center, this ND team is a legit contender for the Natty, maybe the favorite

Mylan Grahm has been great. Expecting big things from him this year. Jaden Greathouse who had a terrific game vs the Buckeyes in the 2024 game probably starts ahead of him but he's going to see a lot of playing time.

The weekly Quincy Porter update: He was dressed for practice as usual and was riding the bike during much of the four periods we were there. It shouldn’t be a surprise as Porter had a minor procedure on Friday in hopes of speeding up his recovery from offseason knee surgery.

Shuler lost his Dad yesterday. Heartbreaking for the kid.

Got to admire Faison. Kid comes to ND on a Lacross scholarship and is part of a NC team his freshman year. He walks on the football team and now as a senior is named a captain. Can he be part of a team to make it to the top in two differnt sports?

Most anticipated season since maybe 2006 when we started #2 and Brady Quinn was a Heisman contender. Struggled in the opener vs Ga. Tech and then lost big time to Michigan in game 3 and lost to USC and LSU badly to end the season.

Irish are even odds with Ohio State in Vegas to win it all, CJ Carr is one of the top Heisman candidates.
Schedule is favorable, but you still have to go out and play well every weekend as we've learned.

After yesterday, I hope we aren't using BT refs. Daughter Molly and grandaughter Erin are at the game. Loved their tour of Lambeau yesterday.

Well time to stop the hype and get down to business. I’ll take a win any way we can get it in this one.
