Last year the Aggies took two of three from the Gators in Gainesville, and then promptly went into the tank. Fast forward to today. The Aggies dominated a good Gator team in all three games at Olsen Field. Hopefully we can avoid last year's swoon, and use this as a springboard into conference play... 8)
Nice wins....but it ain't FB ......or RB.... Congratulations though. I don't follow UF baseball as much as the other two sports but I will pay more attention when they advance in the CWS as they did a couple of years ago.
Hey as long as the gators stay in the SE, they're okay. Since the aTm sweep, UF's gone 6-2 in conference ..... all on the road .... and unexpectedly leads the SEc -east division. A win today will give them their second consective "away series sweep".
And just like last year the Aggies are beginning their dive back to the lower regions of the standings. Bad defense, and injuries to the pitching staff are the culprits this year, as opposed to the anemic offense of last year...
Matt LaPorta named SEC and National player of the week for the week ended 4/1/07 and UF pounds #1 or 2 noles 16-7. LaPorta has 2 3-run homers in the 1st two innings and now has the following: 10 HRs in last 7 games hitting .517 (15-for-29) with 19 RBI and 14 runs. For the season has a .433 batting average with 15 homers and has driven in 35 runs. This weekend UF has a huge home series against BBAmerica's #5 USCocks.
