There were/are high hopes for the Women's Soccer team, but they've gotten off to a bit of a slow start by drawing with both Samford and Penn State. Lots of time left and a very challenging ACC schedule to still attain all their goals.
Not sounding like our Buckeye transfer WR, Quincy Porter, will be ready to play before midseason at best.
Interesting comment from our transfer kicker from Purdue, Spencer Porath. As for the transition to life at Notre Dame outside of Shields Hall, it couldn’t be going better. “I got to spend the first semester in the dorm,” said Porath. “Shout out to Siegfried. I never lived in a dorm at Purdue, so it was just so tight-knit. The relationships you build, it was instant. It was like right when I showed up on campus, everyone was so nice, and it was just great to get to hang out with those guys and kind of get to know them as well.”
One of the players who was previously out of eligibility and off to the NFL but got a ruling that they could come back for another year was Irish defender Junior Tuihalamaka. The Irish decided against bringing him back as he didn't participate in the Spring or in the Summer Conditioning. So he's in the Portal, good luck to him. I hope this is the end of all these court deals that give players all kinds of extra years. The QB at Ole Miss is playing his 6th year after playing 4 years at Div2.
The Irish scrimmage today as an end to the fall camp, next week starts the prep for Wisconsin and the season. Freeman will have press conference after the scrimmage.
