A former defensive tackle for the Wolverines under Bo Schembechler, he’s been Michigan’s athletic director since 2016. A full search for the school’s next athletic director will be conducted.

Thought I might share some thoughts about my Gators. I am personally very optimistic about our future under our new Head Coach, Jon Sumrall. So far myself and a lot of other Gators have been very impressed with him. His attention to details and openness with the press and fans is impressive. All of which is quite a change from or recent experiences. Losing seasons and the worst Gator records have led to our worst records since the 1940’s. I am very optimistic that we are turning a corner and have the right guy leading the way. Go Gators Gator Bill
I didn't read the full article, but I respectfully disagree that a 9-game schedule would hurt a deserving team's chances. I think it's a wait-and-see situation. My reasoning is, who's to say a very good team deserving consideration, having played a cutthroat SEC schedule and earning a top 12 ranking won't get in with 2 losses? I mean, it's not the ACC.
Sid, there’s three big qualifiers in your reasoning. The cutthroat SEC schedule, the top 12 ranking and 2 losses. What about a #13 3 loss SEC team vs a 2 loss ACC team ranked #12. With the exception of participants in conference championship games I believe the all of CFP selectees have 2 losses or less. It sure looks like all that counts is the number of losses and/or making it to the conference championship game. I think last year Army was the only 2 loss team to not make the CFP. And that was with the SEC having a rule requiring 8 conference games
