This may be a one post topic. I'm not much of a race fan, but I've attended several 500s over the years, none recently. Always had the radio on. The race sold out this year - attendance 350,000 - so it was televised live. I didn't intend to watch the entire 250 laps, but it turned out to be the most exciting race in many years, perhaps ever. It was the closest finish ever, .02 second. A combination of red and yellow flags toward the end, mostly weather-related, turned it into a one-lap shootout at the finish. Many lead changes throughout, more than 70, I think. No violent crashes. No injuries. Excellent entertainment.
