Fitz didn't choke on the 1st playoff hole, nailed a 4 iron to 12 feet and makes the putt while Scotte hits a shockingly bad 6 iron that came up 40 yds short. Game over. Fitz made the 12 footer for birdie and the win.

I guess I am not surprised at this...

The PGA Tour has now officially decided not to hold its season-opening events -- The Sentry and Sony Open -- in Hawaii in 2027, according to people with knowledge of the plans.

The Sentry officially will not return in 2027, while Sports Business Journal learned on Monday that the tour is in the beginning phases of possibly transitioning the Sony Open to a PGA Tour Champions event, which would still give the tour a multi-event presence in the state.

PGA Tour confirms move away from Hawaii; Sony Open could become senior event

LPGA is in Houston this week for the Chevron, which is their 1st major of the year. It's being played at the same course that the men played earlier. Memorial Park is a City owned public venu that was totally redone a few years ago to specifically host a PGA tour even. For the ladies it's going to play 6800 yards.

I played it many times before the redo as it was convenient and cheap to play there, but since the redo it's still cheap for city residents but it's a lot harder to get a time .

I won't be going to the tournament because it's just too damn hard to get to and from. Have to use park and rides.

Weather has been very rainy this week so the course will be soft and there could possibly be problems iwth delays during the tournament.

Didn't really pay attention to the team event in New Orleans. Was watching the Ladies here at Memorial Park. Nelly Korda won it wire to wire. She was really on her game, hitting fairways and greens and making putts won handily by 5 strokes. The course was in terrific condition, it's the right time of year, we've had some rain and sunshine so it was lush and green.

Tour is back at the Blue Monster (Doral). It's 20M purse so the field will be excellent. I'm glad they got over playing there because Trump owned it.

Going to be a long course at Doral. 7700+ yards. Supposed to be windy this weekend. Not likely to see a winning score in the 20's!

The long Burmuda rough there is like hitting out of a brillo pad. Nasty stuff.

Cam Young had a great day and has the sole lead at -7. Conditions were perfect. Jordan Spieth had a good day as well and is only 1 shot back. Scottie is 6 shots back at -1
