Holy crap! Do you mean that coaches are going to have to use real college students and not just enroll ballplayers every Spring? This is serious. What if they can't read? Even worse, what if they can't speak English? Do these rules apply to Dominican exchange students?
DD, They apply until somebody sues the NCAA for rules that oppress the "immigrants"... Then they will only apply to home grown kids!
what a <t>gigantic, pile of steaming dog poo. This is yet another example of a few suits, putting together a committee so they can come in and save something that doesn't need their sort of saving....

Why aren't these a-holes ever once concerned about funding for baseball? Why aren't these a-holes ever once concerned about money generated for BASEBALL being stolen under title IX and given to women's sports? Why are they applying graduation rate 'rules' rather than actually looking at IF kids are really graduating, and if not, then why.

this panel pays this lip service, but basically they are just shuffling the deck with the same cards.

Why don't we just form a panel to study the quality of white snow in Minnesota, maybe a compare/contrast on the effectiveness of the nuvaring as opposed to the standard 28 day cycle birth control pills... They may as well since they will have the same type of impact on the graduation rate of college baseball players as this panel did..

This will do nothing, absolutely nothing, but give coaches more headaches and give more tie wearing dipsh*ts a reason to feel like they should have a job.

As pointed out by Scott, the one thing this panel DID manage to do is create one massive loophole for corruption and mis-allocation of financial resources.

All the while people are so worried about this crap, has anyone figured out if the NCAA is actually going to punish USC for running a minor league team under the umbrella of college athletics?</t>
