Had money on the Ducks. That was a painful one to lose. JMU does the back door cover on a 99 yard drive and punching in a TD on 4th down. I was following this game on phone while watching the Packers give away a game they dominated to the Tollroad Pricks. I hate football. To add to the misery, I woke up this morning to the sound of my dog barfing. Think he was reacting to the Packers special teams play from last night.
Yeah...huge sense of urgency to score in an obvious defeat. It was almost like JMU bet the spread also.
Maybe a little bit of a surprise here, but then Day has called the plays most of the time at Ohio State, Chip Kelly called plays in his 1 year, and I believe Hartline called plays this year. So not a new responsibility for Coach Day. Ohio State coach Ryan Day said he will take over calling offensive plays in the Buckeyes' College Football Playoff opener on New Year's Eve against Miami. Ohio State offensive coordinator Brian Hartline, who had called plays this season, is balancing responsibilities, having recently taken the head coaching job at USF.
Good move by Coach Day in my opinion. Takes the pressure off Hartline and gives hime some leeway at University South Florida as well.
Watched the Tenn/Illini game and it was a really good game. Tenn scored on a KO return down 27-21 and went ahead 28-27...problem was there was 4.5 min left on the clock. Illinois never gave them the ball back and kicked a walk off FG to win 30-28.
Not that I’ve seen. I’m out of town but will ask him. Here’s a piece he did after traveling to Purdue. https://www.vsbnradio.com/post/expe...purdue-university-a-weekend-in-west-lafayette
The kid is out in California at his Grandpas. Hasn’t done a preview but he’s gonna try to write a postmortem after the game.
The 2024 bye week jinx seems to be continuing this year. Horrible pick 6 by Sayin but he’s been resilient in the past after making a bad decision.
That reversal of a 1st down call was awful. At best there was no clear evidence, which is supposed to lead to upholding the call on the field.
Buckeyes seem to have found a spark on offense with that last drive, didn't result in points but we'll see if they can keep it going coming out in the 2nd half.
Miami’s defensive line is really throwing OSU’s offense out of sync. Sayin definitely looks uncomfortable so far.
TOK is Dr. Prophet. The Buckeyes last drive in the 1H ended up foreshadowing the opening TD drive of the 2H.
The Mo started to change late 1st half whe Sayin started throwing sharp quick release passes to high level receivers including #1. This neutralized the Miami pass rush. Now the D needs to shut down Miami’s run game.
