Rutgers turned down the Birmingham Bowl vs Georgia Southern. They were 5-7 but there aren't enough 6 win teams to fill the slots. Different reasons than ND of course. They had coaching changes, opt outs, etc. Other have also opted out of the Bowls
A small thread jacking but it is so great watching Packers women beating down the ill mannered Bears players daring to do the Lambeau Leap.
Wisconsin is something that just has to be experienced to be believed. Great post. I watched the game but missed that. Hilarious!
Interesting name reportedly headed to the Transfer Portal, ASU QB Sam Leavitt. With Carson Beck gone from Miami, Mendoza gone from IU, and Kiffen at LSU needing a QB...he'll get paid big bucks by somebody.
Well the Utes beat the Big 10 to the punch. Hopefully it works out for them. I am just not understanding the attraction of this PE firm to a program like Utah. The University of Utah is finalizing a landmark private equity partnership that would be the first of its kind in college athletics. Utah is set to enter an agreement with New York-based firm Otro Capital that will help generate an estimated $500 million for the school, it announced on Tuesday. The deal is expected to be finalized in early 2026.
Wow.... Michigan fired coach Sherrone Moore for cause Wednesday after a university investigation that found "credible evidence" he was engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. "This conduct constitutes a clear violation of University policy, and U-M maintains zero tolerance for such behavior," athletic director Warde Manuel said in a statement Wednesday.
I read on another board that UM boards are begging for Jim Harbaughs son, Jay. Who has a career as a Special Teams coach. Currently with the Seattle Sea Hawks. BTW unlike his dad he does not have a show cause.
It's being reported now that he's been arrested. Former Michigan coach Sherrone Moore has been detained.... - ESPN
There had been rumors floating around about him for months but I wrote it off as internet BS. Mind boggling. Moore fell into a head coaching job at the defending national championship university, was paid millions, and pissed it all away. He will never get another job that pays him anything remotely close to what he was making at Michigan. Plus, as further information comes out, this story is going to get far uglier. Feel sorry for his family who are collateral damage caused by his colossal stupidity.
