Another job filled. I wonder if this will be how the Ole Miss saga plays? out? Kiffin taking the LSU job but staying with the Rebels through the playoffs?

Eric Morris, who has led North Texas to a 10-1 record this season, has been hired as the next coach at Oklahoma State, it was announced Tuesday.

Morris will remain with the Mean Green for the rest of the regular season as well as any potential appearances in the American Conference title game and College Football Playoff.

Not much movement. Oregon jumped Ole Miss but the rest of the top 10 remains the same.

All the talk continues to be Miami/Notre Dame. The Irish have a higher FPI #3 vs #10, Irish have the higher SOR #12 to #15 . We have played 4 teams in the current CFP ranking and are 2-2, Miami has played 2 and are 1-1.

But the real threat to the Irish is Alabama. If the Tide beat Auburn and get into the SEC Championship game and Win, They will jump the Irish and Oklahoma likely even given the head/head.

The other threat is BYU and Tech both winning this weekend and then BYU upsetting Tech in the B12 Championship game, B12 then becomes a 2 bid league and that could mean even at #10 the Irish could be replaced by BYU, the #11 team replaced by the ACC Champion and the #12 team replaced by the Group of 5 team. Unless BYU opens up a big can of whoopass on Tech they aren't dropping out of the top 9 with a loss in the Big 12 Championship game.
