13 total ball carriers. 5 of those were quarterbacks. 1 was an offensive lineman, 1 wide receiver, and 6 running backs.
DeBoer emptied the bench today. He may have played every player on the team, I'm not sure. There were names I had never heard before so I'm guessing there were some non-scholarship guys in there. The scout team quarterback got a couple of snaps.
Longhorns took control in the 2nd half and are rolling Arkansas 52-23. Arch had a big game. Aggies are going to be in for a game next weekend.
Probably not going to be any movement in the CFP rankings this week. Utah probably will fall from it's #12 slot and Miami will move up. BYU plays tonight, they win and they'll stay at #11 most likely.
Pitt is all over Ga.Tech. They are up 21-0 in the 1st qtr. King has thrown a bad pick and they failed on a risky 4th down. From a ND standpoint this is a good thing, and even better if Pitt can beat Miami next weekend. Utah survives a big scoring fest 51-47, both teams had over 500yds offense, KState incredible running stats and the Utes had a big number passing. Might hold on at #12
Penn State is rolling over Nebraska. 30-3 Good thing they locked up Matt Rhule. LSU is losing to Western Kentucky 3-0 ...yikes what a mess. Tenn is also rolling, they are rolling the Gators BYU and Cincy are playing defense...BYU up 7-0
Diego Pavia had another incredible game. 33-39 for 484 yds and 5 TD's in Vandy's big win over Kentucky. He's not likely to win the Heisman, but he's a heck of a college QB.
Really surprised that Pittsburgh bounced back after getting thrashed at home by ND and is mauling Tech. Looks like Wisky has turned the corner. Leading Illinois 17-10 in the 4th and their physicality is resembling traditional Badgers football.
Ga.Tech is making it close, a questionable decision to run a fake punt from their own 40 and failing by Pitt gave Tech a chance and they drove for a score. Now under 5 left and it's a 1 score game.
Well a 55 yd TD run by the Pitt back and it's back to a 2 score game and it'll take a miracle for Ga.Tech to get to OT or win. Pitt win is good for the Irish.
So Kiffin will announce his decision after the Egg Bowl. I hope he loses the Egg Bowl just to see what happens next!!!
Mike Norvell will be back at FSU Florida State coach Mike Norvell said Monday he does not believe his team is far off from competing for championships, one day after the school announced he would return for 2026. In his first comments since the announcement, Norvell said during his weekly news conference he is grateful to the administration for the belief in "what is ahead of us."
It appears that any changes will be driven by whether or not the SEC and Big 10 can agree on the changes. According to the linked article the Big 10 wants a 24 team format with 18 automatic qualifiers, 4 from each Power 4 Conference and 2 from the Group of 6 (Group of 5 + the reformed Pac12) ME: I hate that, 16 is the sweet spot IMHO with only 1 automatic qualifier from each Power 4 conference. After that let the chips fall where they may. ____________________________________________________ The College Football Playoff and ESPN on Monday agreed to extend the deadline to determine if there will be any changes made to the playoff format for 2026 and beyond. The new deadline for completing the format and related structural decisions will move from Dec. 1 to Jan. 23, 2026. "We appreciate the continued partnership and collaboration with ESPN as we work through the important elements that will shape the future of the College Football Playoff," CFP executive director Rich Clark said in a statement. "While no change to the current format is definite, this extension will allow the Management Committee additional time to evaluate the second year of the expanded playoff and ensure any potential modifications are carefully considered, fully vetted, and in the best interests of student-athletes, schools, and fans."
