I know we don't care much about the NBA here...but this gambling scandal is huge. Involves at least 31 individuals including Chauncey Billups and Terry Rozier...and the Cleveland paper said it involved hundreds of millions of dollars in fraud. Stu, I agree with you re: the impact on all sports. Unfortunately I believe this kind of activity, apparently with full participation of the major mafia families, according to what I've read, is ongoing and will continue in some form for the foreseeable future, possibly (likely?) in other sports. As we've seen in this instance, it takes only a few bad apples among the thousands of upstanding current and former athletes.
I've got a great idea, lets start putting professional teams in Las Vegas. Then they can bet and play without much travel.
