Lots of names thrown out by Gator fans.

    Kiffen, Cignatti, Fisch, and others.

One name that gets a lot of comments is Notre Dames Freeman. I don’t see him as a realistic possibility because he already has an elite job and seems the Irish fans seem to love him.

    Any thoughts?

Marcus seems to have settled in to the ND community. He's involved in some local charities and has made some significant donations. Anything is possible, just ask Brian Kelly. Unlike Kelly Marcus isn't at the point of his career where he's looking to make a big score before retirement. Also, I think ND has gotten MUCH more generous (realistic)in their coach's salaries.

I agree with gip, I don't think there is any chance that Marcus Freeman will leave ND for a "better" job or a "higher" paying job.

On Fisch, UCLA is reported to be looking at him as well due to his prior time there and his ties to a whale booster, but they were paying DeShaun Foster like $3.1M when they let him go and Fisch's base salary is over $7M at UW, with a $10M buyout that drops to $6M in 2026. Given what UF is paying Napier and Fisch's history there I'd think that would be more plausible, although I'd think Florida can do better than a known vagabond with relatively thin HC experience.

About now I would accept a good high school coach if it meant getting rid of Napier.
    Gators are currently totally irrelevant.

Sorry about being so late coming back.

We hired Jon Sumrall from Tulane.

Did not know much about him but I do like what I read.

Kiffin just got to expensive and as I am sure most of you know he went to LSU.

Hoping the Gators can become a factor again.

I guess what we won't know till he's coached, as to whether he's the real deal or Billy Napier 2.0.

I’m going with and hoping for the real deal.
    Napier was a major disappointment.
