Nits lose in 2OT's as Drew Allar make the critical mistake just like he did vs ND in the playoffs.

Big victory for Alabama in a venue where visiting teams usually go to die. And James Franklin continues his futility against top 10 teams.

That really was a stupid penalty, Terry although that flying leap was funny to watch. I guess youth combined with excessive testosterone can cause a brain to stop functioning.

Alabama’s defense showed up last night. Georgia was able to run on us but we did a good job on third downs. Simpson and Bernard have turned into a really good combination on offense. Big win for us but we still have a tough schedule ahead.

I think there is a lot of parity at the top of the SEC, so 2 loss champion is likely.

Aw, now you sound like an OSU fan. ;) I thought we looked ok in the first half and felt pretty confident we'd open it up a bit in the second half. Two mistakes...we got stopped on fourth and one on the goal line and the fumbled return (he was cradling the ball properly but the first guy hit him and knocked one arm off and the second guy stripped the other arm...he probably should have gone down when he first got hit but I'm not going to knock extra effort.)

We only punted the ball once the entire game. (yeah I think it was in the first half). Anyway I really thought we had control and would continue to control the game. Just a couple of missed opportunities.

Looks like Ga.Tech got away with one and probably should have lost the game in regulation rather than win in OT.

I think Day enjoys riding this defense....pretty much same game plan as Texas with the young QB on his first road trip in a hostile environment. Only 3 possessions in the first half, just 6 total for the game. Scored 4 times in 6 possessions with 3 TD's, stopped on downs on the 4, 1 punt. Pretty efficient offensive game, just never had a need to get more aggressive. I'll take it 100%.

This defense is plain nasty....I had a clue that this group had a chance to be at least as good, if not better than last years and thus far they are tracking that way. UW offense is legit, I didn't expect us to shut them down like that. Glad to see it. That's the best offense we'll see in the reg season imo

Now Finebaum may run for the Senate. The state of Alabama is a political trashcan. This probably doesn’t belong on this board.

It is a legit post KP since the topic is one where sports and politics intersect. But, I confess I didn’t have Bruce Pearl and Paul Finebaum on my bingo card as possible senatorial candidates.

Just one man's opinion but I believe it. From a factual perspective Texas has yet to find their footing offensively and in conference only IU and Oregon are more highly ranked offensively than UDub and we don't play either in the regular season. Their QB, WR and RB1 combo is as good as anybody in the country in the estimation of many. Holding that team to 1 for 11 on 3rd down conversions in their own house is freaky good. As far as the "venue whose naXe shall not be said or written" pfffft.....winter is coming :p

Love the "x" in place of "m". Now if I could only find a way to consistently x out U, S, and C.

Fun fact.......My parents and my yet-to-be-born sister attended that game and family legend has it they stayed till the bitter end. Dad was still in school at the time and they lived near the hospital in the shadow of the stadium. Knowing my mother I have no doubt she was still screaming as time expired. She grew up in Maine, pregnant or not a little blizzard wasn't gonna keep her from banding with the faithful and defending the sacred ground from the evil horde from the north - she was a legit bad ass. Strongest person I've ever known. God bless her
