Tough luck for Irish transfer and former favorite backup, Steve Angeli.

That's a shame. Good kid and he was just scorching Clemson when he went down.

For those concerned with other less than desirable aspects of the first three games, some relief courtesy of Pete Sampson on X:
"CJ Carr's passer rating through three games: 166.7 To put that in season context: -Would be Top 10 in eight of past nine seasons -Virtually identical to soph. Trevor Lawrence, junior JJ McCarthy, soph. Caleb Williams, soph. Bryce Young -Single-season Notre Dame record."

Lou Holtz is making the trip back to Fayetteville.

The 88-year-old coach confirmed, in a Sept. 15 video that was posted by the Notre Dame Club of Arkansas on Facebook, that he will be in attendance at Donald W. Reynolds Razorbacks Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 27 for the Week 5 college football non-conference matchup between No. 21 Notre Dame and Arkansas.

Holtz, a well-known and respected college football icon who has had a fiery "friendship" with Ohio State coach Ryan Day the last several years, spent different parts of his illustrious coaching career with both Arkansas and Notre Dame.

I don't know if it's published information, but Lou announced prior to the A&M game that it was his last trip to ND.

I have a fair level of confidence that this offense will get better every week and develop into a championship level offense, but not the same for our defense. CJ Carr so far has been much better than I expected. He has a chance to become one of the great QB's in ND history.

I know that's a lot to put on a young QB and he certainly could fail to make that leap. But I'm thinking Brady Quinn.

I just felt that this should be seen by any ND fans who have't seen it:

They don't need to see it if they've watched Price run. ;)
