Drayk Bowen ...he's a leader for sure.
Donovan Hinish...brother of the great Kurt Hinish
Will Pauling ...Wisconsin transfer, came in and took charge.
Billy Schrauth ...one big dude and you always have to have at least one OL
    Adon Schuler ....Jersey boy!
Aamil Wagner ...Ohio boy and another big time OL!

    Good group.

Well CJ Carr will be our starter. Hope he's the next Arch Manning! :D

I never would have guessed back when Lloyd was the UM coach that his grandson would someday start for Notre Dame.

Back in the day I would have thought it would have taken an elite Irish Guard team of operatives to kidnap Lloyd and force him to do this. :D

If you guys remember when Drew Brees was at Purdue, his "hot" mom was regular camera target at all of his televised games. Expect Lloyd Carr to exceed the air time of Drew Brees mom (RIP she passed awhile ago).

But will not come close to Taylor Swift at Chiefs games!!!:D:D

Re: paying for gameday experiences: IU has entered the mix: everything from messages on the scoreboards @ $30 to football "game day experience" @ $150 per person maximum 4 persons. I'm especially excited about shooting the T-shirt launcher @ $100. :D

Re: The leprechaun mark, you learn alot about leprechauns when you live with one for a whole year. My freshman roommate was a great match for a kid from NYC. He was from LA. Everything I though was cool was "bitchin"" to him. Anyway, Greg was maybe 5'5" and auditioned for leprechaun. He got the job. I can't tell you how much he put into that role including spending time during his vacation to meet with costume designers at a Hollywood studio. Historicly the little imps hid out in the forest guarding thier gold. They blended in and the outfit that most hid them had to be brown with green patches. And so Greg had them design an brown outfit and that's what he wore for the next 3 years. Here's a picture of Scottie back in 1967. I'm not into the Green fakes.NOTRE DAME FIGHTING IRISH Mascot Leprechaun 1967 Original 35mm Photo Slide | eBay

I'm guessing 1970 the year after Greg graduated. They now have more than on and a female or two. Didn't know that Title IX applied to leprecauns.

Sid, Coach Freeman has really shown some solid growth as young coach, obviously he has been doing the right things and growing each season as a coach. I am very impressed with his performance thus far.:)

It helps when ND is one of two teams that played 16 games last season. That's two more than Rockne's first 2 seasons combined.

To be clear, my twofold reason for posting was: 1) I was surprised to know of his "most wins in first 3 seasons" status, and 2) Not being a fan of Kelly, I couldn't resist the weird humor of the picture.

Game week!! Last trip to Hard Rock Stadium was a disaster. A supposedly good ND team, with 2 AA's on the OL in McGlinchy and Nelson were just hammered by MIami.

CJ Carr first ever start, unlike Arch Manning, he's got zero experience as a college QB. He has a good team around him, good RB's and hopefully a good OL. Wr's should be better and while we are thin at TE many are looking at Eli Rairdon as a potential breakout star. His defense should be very good.

Miami has former Georgia QB, Carson Beck. He's coming off an injury but is supposedly 100%. He was a good QB at UGA but never got them to the level of Stetson Bennett. Miami has loaded up on NIL transfers wo they will be the best team they can buy.

Hate to differ with you Doc, but our last trip to Hard Rock was a success. We knocked off Penn. St. This team has a lot of players who opened with a win in College Station last season and played with great poise in the playoffs. I expect to see them play a good game this week.
