Always good to see an Irishman win!

BERKSHIRE, England -- Padraig Harrington was so focused on his game that he didn't notice a leaderboard or see Rory McIlroy walking in the gallery Sunday at the Senior British Open. He closed with a 3-under 67 to win his second senior major of the year.

Staked to a two-shot lead, Harrington made eagle on the first hole on the Old Course at Sunningdale, and no one got closer than two shots the rest of the way as he became the fifth player with a Senior British Open and a British Open title.

Cam Young gets the win at the Wyndham and the FedEx Cup field is set. One thing though is that rory due to his ranking and the change that makes it a straight up tourney is skipping the St. Jude because he doesn't need the points to make it to Eastwood. Not sure how they fix this other than just requiring everybody who is not injured to play in all the FedEx Cup events.

While at that AIG Women's Open in Wales this young woman had a very unusual hole in one.

I looked like her playing partner actually hit a better shot. It stopped inches from the cup. Her shot would have rolled at least a few feet away if it hadn't hit the partner's ball and gone in.

St. Judes Open starts tomorrow. They have improved a lot about the course, zoysia fairways and new greens with high tech grass. I've played the course it's a fun course. Rory is skipping the event but the rest of the field will be tough.

Bhatia has a 1 stroke (-8) lead over Tommy Fleetwood (-7). Scottie and JT sit a -3 , Rickie Fowler at -4. It's all about getting the right point total to make the Top 50 and move on to the BMW, so a lot of jockeying will be going on all week.

Tommy Fleetwood having a great tourney so far (-13) and a 4 shot lead over Colin Morikowa.
Scottie is in the top 10 but 6 shots back. Play was suspended late so guys will be out early to finish rounds.
