Turns out the first day injury of Houston is not as serious as thought. Good news for the Buckeyes!

We're not gonna be able to replace those two, but as Don indicated Day seems happy with what we've got to step in, tho experience will be limited. Most are very high on Peoples and expect a productive year with big upside. Picked up a big back out of the portal from WVA CJ Donaldson that should provide a helping hand and some needed experience.

Ryan Day likes depth at running back position as Buckeyes open preseason practice

First day in pads, the last of the practices open to the public. Sounds like Sayin has separated himself a little bit yesterday from most accounts in what many are saying is a legit QB competition. The best characterization I heard was this: Both can make all the throws, Sayin has the better release and is very accurate, Kienholz more athletic, more credible run threat, more consistent and exhibits more leadership. Sayin has a higher ceiling, more upside tho with greater variance, Kienholz has a higher floor, less downside. A long way to go until 8/30

Too early to become anxious, but unless thee is some serious separation, we might very well be playing two QB's in the opener?:(

Don, at this point I'd be surprised if we didn't see them both. I've heard rumblings of a package designed for Kienholz for short yardage and goal line situations.

As for Arch, as a young QB it's gonna be hard for him to be prepared for what he's about to face in his first big game on the road but I expect a great game in any event. It's a shame he won't get to see it at night and see the old girl in all her glory and frenzy

No surprise, Buckeyes and Longhorns are 1-2 going into the opener at Columbus. This years game of the century.

I probably could look back over the 20th century and come up with 3, 4, or even 5 games of the century. This century still has 75 years to go, which guarantees there will be several GOTC.
