Pitiful display by the Sooners today. I did not realize they had so many players opt out for NIL slots . Too many droppd passes did not help the situation.:(

I was glad to see Navy get the win.

I imagine Venables went for 2 so he didn't have to deal with OT

Sometimes, I don't recognize any of the players on teams in the bowl games. A lot of transfers and opt-outs. I guess it's a good preview for next season.

I agree kp, but I am not certain the final product will not be changed again for next season?

Additional players from the Portal will make a lot of difference. They of course can't play in these games.

I think OU only had 56 players due to Portal and opt outs. Navy of course doesn't have to deal with any of that3

Yep... I believe A&M had 20 players in the portal for the bowl game.
No idea if that was a big factor, as I didn't watch.
This game is not even a shadow of what it was...

Biggest surprise for me is that Cam Ward, Travis Hunter and Shaddeur Sanders aren't opting out.

Not sure if this has been posted but Colorado took out large disability policies on Sanders and Hunter so they'd play in the bowl game.

I just saw that Miami is missing 4 wide receivers and a tight end. This makes these bowl games mean even less.

You can't tell that Miami is missing all those WR's, Ward has put up almost 200 yds and 2 TD's. Cane's have 31 points in the first half.

So Ward comes out in a close game. I’m afraid the CFP has indeed changed the “importance” of non-playoff bowl games.

Ward apparently only played to get some TD record and then made a business decision to not play the 2nd half. Glad to Iowa State won.

BYU in spite of throwing 3 first half picks, is smoking Colorado. The BYU defense is all over Sanders.

That really is an incredibly selfish decision by Ward to quit in the middle of the game after setting an individual record. Deon’s son and Hunter, like Ward, are going high in the draft but to their credit are fulfilling their commitment to play in the bowl game.
