Where have I been? That's too bad. I hardly have time these days for posting, so it doesn't have much to do with me anyway. He was one of my favorite posters. That is all.

    Re: Zo.

If the block is removed and he returns, Gonzo, by posting, is agreeing to follow the unwritten Geneva Conventions that apply here. (Hopefully, he will not trip over the debris of razed Buckeye villages that had been firebombed.) So I hope that posting is the only thing he has to do to return.

Two facts favor the lifting of the drawbridge. 1. Zo is probably the only hope non Domers have of rescuing JIF from his present servitude of working as a menial laborer on the Krebs estate; 2. My vacations are usually economy affairs secured through the Web. Zo's travelogues of captaining luxury yachts, staying at exclusive European hotels, spear fishing in South America, smoking raw, non cured, Cuban cigars and eating haute cuisine at 5 star restaurants are experiences I will never enjoy firsthand. His postings give me the opportunity to enjoy the good life vicariously.

Bill, With work and kids, posting and spending time on the Net has become less important to me. Most of my extra time is spent with the family. Crazy as it is, football has taken a back seat in my life. I pull for the dawgs but if they lose, it's no sweat off my back. It use not to be that way with me. Plus UGA football hasn't exactly been much to brag about since David Greene and Pollack left the program. Those 2 guys carried Richt. Well good to know Gonzo is allowed to post if he likes. He's a cool cat.

It's not so bad, Bobda. The hours are reasonable, he has a place to sleep, and he gets donuts. The only problem is, he's not allowed to talk about the Red Sox in George's presence.

I don't want to say to much here, but Zo could have been back a long time ago he took a sabattical so to speak on his own, but we just made things so that we had to have a little conversation before he returned. We've had the conversation and things are cool as others might say.

We didn't even demand any Cuban Cigars and I am glad it's over and hope we can all enjoy each other's company.

Bobda, I certainly hope the razed Ohio State Villages are a thing of the past and as usual enjoy your unique sense of humor.

Hey Tailback, it's interesting how kids can reorder one's life isn't it?

But nothing could be finer and one day they give you grandchildren. I heard it said more than once that if we knew how great grandchildren were we would have had them first. :D :D

But then we would have missed all that fun getting to that stage.

Yeah Bill these kids change what's important in your life. I got 1 child who is near as perfect as one could get at this point in her life. I have another child who God knew best to give me him second. I love them both the same, but he's the reason there won't be a 3rd child. I told the wife yesterday, "It's awful but the truth is, he gives us more problems in one week than the daughter has given us in her 6 years". She agreed with me. Don't get me wrong though, I thank God every night for him, as I do for my whole family! I don't deserve Gods gracious gifts to me, so I don't want to sound as if I'm complaining. God has been very good to me! I'm just glad I'm here to enjoy dealing with it all, One temper tantrum at a time.

Stu, Congrats on that grand daughter, she looks precious.

    Thanks, TB...

We always used to tell our boys that they were the only reason that we stayed together for so long...

Neither one of us would take the kids.

Tailback, you may enjoy this story.

A lady that I work with took her two year old sn to their Pediatrician, as part of the examination the doctor took the boy aside for a couple of minutes. When he came back to his mom he handed her a note. Here is the jest of what the note said.

    Dear Mom,

I just entered my terrible two's. They last until I'm 20! Just ask your mom.

    Love, your son

    xxxxxxxxx

Being someone who has raised their children and am now enjoying their children this really made me laugh. Laugh of course because of the ring of truth.

    True story...

When I was about 42 or 43 and still dealing with three teenagers, I asked my Mom at what age they finally become a pleasure to be around...

She told me she'd let me know.

Just as I thought. George is a smart guy. He is utilizing Joel's vast knowledge and experience by appointing him as his consigliere.

Bill, I can confirm your comments on the "challenges" of raising kids and enjoying the fruits of being a grandparent.

    Funny story Stu.

Now the big question, did she ever let you know?

Thanks Sid, and looking back on things I wouldn't change much. I did have one daughter get a serious injury when she was 14 and a car hit her while on her bicycle. She lived though it, but has had injuries to deal with all her life. I would sure change that given the chance.

But in general I kind of go with the philosophy that if I wanted to change a lot of things with my life I had better first think of what might be different with me if I had done that differet.
