    2OT's... wow. [IMG]

Durant may be player of the year (the kid got game)... but there isn't any player in the country more clutch than Acie Law.
It was a great game... but in the end we lost too much firepower to ticky-tack fouls.
Congrats to the Horns, the shot the ball well.

I hope this doesn't hurt our #2 seed in the big tourney.

    Scott,

No doubt a tough loss and hard to swallow. Durant has had one whale of a season. The Aggies have had a great season as well. Amazing the differnece a couple of points can make in a game either way.

Tough loss Scott, I didn't get to see the game unfortuneately. Must have been a whale of a game though. B12 tourney will be interesting.

I'm not bitter, but was curious what you guys think. Below is a photo of the final shot Acie made in regulation that tied the game.

My question: Should this have garnered a free throw?

If the uniform colors had been reversed and #1 was wearing white, it probably would have been called. Seriously, in real time, who knows? Frustrating for sure, but a 2OT loss to an outstanding team like TX in their house is not necessarily a bad thing.

Can't really tell from the photo Scott, the ball is gone, wheter he hit his hand before or during the shot I guess would be the key factor. Or really wheter or not he hit his hand at all, it's not clear in that photo to me.

It's not a big deal, just thought that photo was interesting (especially the elevation Acie put on the ball to get it over Durant!)

I've read a lot of POY discussion, and some have brought up the fact that Acie is a senior, and how Durant is just frosh leading an entire team of freshman... I agree that's pretty amazing, but then I consider the "talent" level of both teams.

Acie was a 3 star recruit at best. Nobody even knew who Kavaloskus was, and Jones was mired on a tiny 1A highschool team before Billy found him.
Bottom line... Barnes may be herding a bunch of kids, but they were almost ALL stellar level players.

The Aggies are doing it the MacGuyver way:
A bunch of junkyard dogs taped together who turned out to be pretty good players when assembled as a team.
Of the guys getting minutes, only frosh Donald Sloan and Bryon Davis were heralded recruits. Heck, Marlon Pompey can't even FIND the rim on the offensive end!

I'm going to miss these guys when they are gone... :(

Billy G is quickly replacing those junkyard dogs with elite level talent. Your class comming in next is loaded.
