Nine questions about the Trump trial, answered

Day 1 - Jury Selection. First President in the history of our country to face a criminal trial. Sure to be a circus, let the games begin. He says he's going to testify....we'll see. Chances that Melania shows up in the courtroom to support her husband???? My guess is asymptotically approaching zero...for both

Gipper can shed more light on this, but the whole thing seems like horseshit. And, no, I'm not a Trumpist.

What the judge's contempt order says

$9K mere pocket change for the worlds greatest real estate developer, but the Judge has put him on notice. Could get spicy.... get your popcorn ready ;) . Great theater, justice can work in strange and wondrous ways. I mean after all, we got Capone on tax evasion charges, seems about right that Trump gets thrown in the pokey for hush money payments to a porn star

"Merchan also threatened incarceration if Trump willfully violates the gag order again.

"THEREFORE, Defendant is hereby warned that the Court will not tolerate continued willful violations of its lawful orders and that if necessary and appropriate under the circumstances, it will impose an incarceratory punishment," he wrote."

Here we are.....both sides have rested their case meaning no further witnesses. Shockingly Trump didn't testify as he told us he would nor did Melania make an appearance in support of her "wrongly accused" husband. Eric showed a few times and Donald Jr made a cameo as did the the maga version of the Congressional Vienna Boys Choir with a alt from North Dakota. In all seriousness, it appears to this layman as if the prosecution has a steep hill to climb to get the jury to convict, tho the last defense witness on the stand at the behest of the their learned client may turned out to be a unexpected benefit for the DA. Certainly didn't help their case to get into a pissing contest with the judge

At least the choir didn't wear all the same suits and ties this time. Still puzzled about what the crime was. Something about committing a misdemeanor in order to facilitate a felony without defining the felony. Then there's the matter of the State of New York charging him under Federal election laws. But what do I know? As far as the pissing contest with the judge...the judge seems like a joke to me. Seems like the guy was pretty strong in arguing against all the Cohen allegations. The judge allows all kinds of salacious testimony and unrelated testimony from Stormy yet the defense witness commits the sin of rolling his eyes. But again, what do I know? Not much. I have never cared for Trump or his behavior or some of his policies. But we have to stop this "gotcha" by courtrooms (and congressional impeachments).

It disgusts me to see all the gloating from the left wing media that "now we got him." Yeah, we'll see. I was disgusted by the House voting to impeach Mayorkas. Waste of time and money and he's just doing the administrations bidding...where is the high crime or misdemeanor? Our politicians are a bunch of empty suits.

And I see Biden was busy playing the race card again yesterday.
