Over the years, we had 3 Goldens. Loved them and they loved us. Beautiful family members. Too bad dogs' lives are shorter than ours.

Because there's lessons there that most people don't pay attention to and learn from. But the dogs keep trying.

Coincidentally... since we moved into the new house with all the land around us my wife has wanted a bigger dog to wander with her. We haven't fully fenced yet, so I have been resistant.
Well... we came home earlier this week to this fella laying at our gate. Through Facebook we found that he had been dumped out here the day before. (happens a lot on our country road :()
Anyway... we've decided to keep him. He's still a pup and will be HUGE when he's fully filled in.
Thankfully he doesn't seem to have an aggressive bone in his body.
    Meet Beauregard (Bo for short):

Nice looking young man. The perfect wandering companion for your wife. He'll love you unconditionally and will destroy anyone who messes with your (his) family.

I'm looking at those eyes, I don't think I'd mess with him!

How many acres do you have?

We live on 2 acres... which is on the corner of 450 that belongs to the wife's family.

When Tonya's great grandparents lived here, it was a working cattle ranch with pastures separated by oak/elm woods. But... since they died it's been leased for cattle, but not kept up.
Most of the pastures are now filled with the scourge of the universe: Mesquite and cedar.
I hope to slowly take back some of that... repair the old fishing dock on the big pond, and a bunch of other projects. Prob die first tho. ;)

I would say nope but Scott and Ralph might look at this as an opportunity to get some $$$ and some new gator skin boots.

    That's all Ralph.
I'd jump in after about 20lbs of tannerite was set off right above him.

The winged version of Joey Chestnut. I imagine someone’s boat or car paid a heavy price several hours later although I wonder how this bird could fly after that binge eating.

Now crossing Thiland off the bucket list. Definitely do not want to get caught in the middle of a monkey gang fight.
