JUST A BLIP...REALLY?....45 Plus FUGGIN years of playing this chess game in nature I've never had a Hole in 1...and now it's just a "Blip"....I really don't have anything to live for anymore.
Ha I’ve been playing off and on for over 50 years and ive never had one either but when it comes to winning a tournament it’s just another eagle,
Meh! I've had two...both on crappy rounds. Good thing I put the ball aside right away on the first one because my next shot was OB in a cornfield.
Never had one and now most likely never will. I think it's like getting laid, the first is the hardest.
OOOoooooooo...now we go "I've had 2".....and BLIP has been replaced by MEH. I'm gonna puke. Anybody else hate Doctors?
Dunlap made the cut, that's huge for a young player like him, he shot 71 today and that moved him down the leader board a bit but he's getting critical experience. The Irishman, Shane Lowrey, is sharing the lead. Hope he holds on and gets the win.
Never heard of this event, but I have heard of the Seminole Club. Certainly is a big event looking at the pro's who are playing. Including Tiger Woods. According to a tee sheet posted on X by 5 Clubs Golf, the 15-time major championship winner, Tiger Woods, is scheduled to play with PGA of America CEO Seth Waugh, Justin Thomas and Mike Walrath, CEO of the software company Yext. The field for the 18-hole event also includes Rory McIlroy and his father, Gerry; former NFL quarterback Tom Brady, Seminoles Golf Club president and PGA Tour policy board independent director Jimmy Dunne III, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred, LPGA star Nelly Korda, as well as PGA Tour players Tony Finau, Rickie Fowler, Matt Fitzpatrick, Collin Morikawa and Cameron Young.
Weather got the PGA tournament and they will finish tomorrow. Erik Von Rooyen had and incredible front nine got started with 6 straight birdies then 1 more for a 28, cooled off on the back 9 and only got 2 birdies, finished with a 63 and is in the clubhouse at -14, Eckroat is the leader at -15 through 7 holes.
They came back today and Austin Eckroat finished -17 for a 3 shot win, his first for the 25 y/o former Oklahoma State golfer. Our boy Nick Dunlap finished 53rd and made 21K for the week. He was pretty steady finishing with a pair of 71's on the weekend. He's getting his feet under him and will be somebody to watch as he gets oriented to the life as a pro and the higher level of competiton.
Next up is Bay Hill, Arnies event. As a designated event and an Invitational the field will be a strong one, while the rest of the Tour is in Puerto Rico for their Open.
Weather was good today at Bay Hill and Shane Lowry finished at -6 for a 1 stroke lead. Rory could have been in contention if he was a better putter, there were at least 6 or 7 very makable putts that he missed just an inch hgh or an inch low, one of them was a 4 footer for birdie that he really missed badly for Tour Pro, or even me. Other than that he played very well. JT and Spieth had good days, both finished -3, JT also gave up some strokes with his short putting. Something I learned today, Tiger Woods is an 8 time winner of Arnie's Tournament! Not bad. Low scores today, almost half the field is under par.
I hardly recognized Scottie Scheffler with his new facial hair, thought maybe it was Sam Hartman! But it might have helped his game he had a good round and is in a 4 way tie at the top all at -7.
