Non-con games for next season: (scroll down)

Man....FSU gets back on their historically tough non-con slate with games at Colorado, Bama in Jax and at Florida.

This could be Bobbah's last season after another 7-6 type year.

ND's schedule looks tougher than last season and BQ is gone.
Weiss has his hands full in '07.

    The top 4:

    4. Miami at Oklahoma, Sept. 8
The last time these two superpowers met, Miami won the national title in the 1988 Orange Bowl. The Canes have won three in a row over the Sooners.

    3. Tennessee at California, Sept. 1
Tennessee announced it was back with a 35-18 win over a great Cal team in the 2006 opener. The Bears can show they belong in the spotlight, and in the national title hunt, with a win in Berkeley.

    2. USC at Nebraska, Sept. 15
If Nebraska wants to be back to superpower status, this is the game it has to win. The Trojans will likely be No. 1 and can cement themselves in the spot with a victory.

    1. Virginia Tech at LSU, Sept. 8
While Virginia Tech vs. LSU might not get the national attention this off-season like USC vs. Nebraska will, the two should be among the five best (at worst, ten best) in the country.

Other good ones are BC at ND, Neb at Wake Forest and traditional ones like ND at SC but I think Clemson at SouCar will begin to take on the kind of hatred and venom that SOS kicked up when UF-FSU was one of the top games every season. Can't wait to hear what the OBC has to say about the Tigers and Bowden prior to that one..

A friend whose son played baseball at Clemson in the late 90s told me that there is actual hatred between Clemson and South Carolina. His son told him that it manifests itself in all sports contests between the two schools and definitely in football. Nevertheless, I'm sure SS won't shy away from fanning the flames.

It was only 2004, I think, that both teams forfeited bowl games because of the on-field brawl towards the end of their game. Anyone recall Tommy and Lou out there trying to stop that fight?

Actually both coaching staffs were trying to get a handle on the situation. It was just one of those situations where it all got out of hand.
