I'm telling you the Coogs and the Beavers have more in common with the proletarit in the B12 than the snobs on the coast!
I see that the AD of AZST indicated that there is “no way” he was going to travel to Morgantown when the Sun Devils play WVA. Looks like some of that Bay Area snobbery filtered across the state line. Agree that Wazoo would be a good fit in the B12. Don’t know enough about the culture at OSU to know their best match. Frankly, the realignment mania makes me want to puke. The regionality of the sport created great rivalries and traditions along that are being fecklessly tossed aside. Maybe I have become an old guy intolerant of change but longevity also educates one to the fact that sometimes change can be for the worse, not the better.
Can you imagine getting from Corvallis, Oregon to Clemson, South Carolina to watch a regular season football game?
To me West Virginia should be in the ACC. The B12 should then add Wash State and Oregon State, as I said I just think they fit with the Pac 12 schools who have joined and with Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, Oklahoma State, etc. Let CAL and Standford eat cake! I listen to ESPNU a lot and these guys are trying to tie Standford/CAL and Notre Dame to the Big 10.
I've found that current GPS programs prefer the more accurate physical address of '**** hole, South Carolina."
No, it's not you. It's the end stage of capitalism of college football. The institution will have to eat itself in order to be reborn anew someday in the future.
Same here. I lived in the suburbs, but A&P was everywhere. What was the little town where you grew up, Tim?
I may be the poster boy of old age intolerance when it comes to college football. I don't like any of this nonsense, the realignment, the NIL, the portal induced hop=scotching from program to program, the early jump to the NFL, the total lack of an educational component in the promotion of players, the coaches obscene salaries. This is not "college" football and to call it that is false advertising. This is now professional football at the entry level and the schools are the affiliated sponsors in it for the economic gain.
So no more expansion of the SEC? Certainly limits what FSU, Miami, and Clemson can do if they ever get their freedom from the ACC.
Been a lot of flipping of commitments lately, including this guy who was 10000% committed to FSU back on July 4th!, who just flipped to Alabama.
Never, never count on these guys til signing day...and now.just never, never count.on these guys....ever!
