Beware of Helton. Vin Scully never has liked him and there's a reason the Dodgers have never made an offer for him. Against the Dodgers he hits over .350 in Colorado, but less than .275 at Dodger Stadium. He's a good player, but his numbers are Gehrig-like, thanks to playing his career in the mile-high thin air. All of his numbers go straight down when he plays on the road, with much less power...
They won't (hope) give up a big prospect that the Rockies want. Maybe I would give up Delcarmen but thats it. This is the owner power struggle wanting to be like the Yankees. Leave the GM position alone dumbasses....You saw what happened when you had a different GM (Damon leaving) plus saw that no one wanted the position.
They say the best deals are the ones that don't get done. Helton stays in Colorado and Curt Schilling is coming back... Chalk up these non-deals as a big win for the Red Sox.
