Super Bowl is TONIGHT at 6:30pm edt in the Indy Dome( or whatever the hell they call it)....This is too close to call. Ive got my 3 rings, would be nice to get another :!: jiffer
Count me as one who thinks that weather will be a factor. Dome teams historicly fail to win in cold weather games. So I think the QB from Fla. will beat the guy from Purdue. Go figure.
Grossman played his H/S ball in Indiana and he has been with the Bears three years now. I like his chances.
Turn out the lights the party's over... One observation, the NFL desperately needs to do something about the conditions of the field in these late season games. It's a shame that the most important games of the year, when played outdoors, are played on the worst field conditions. Laying new sod down doesn't seem to be the answer. Don't know what that answer is other than going to artifical turf for all their stadiums. Of course maybe they should consult Dope Dealers as pot is grown in bad conditions world wide year round. I for one feel sorry for NO who had to play in poor weather conditions. After all, the weather in NO is always perfect....that is except for the hurricanes that destroy their whole city and force them to play a whole season on the road.
8) Bear weather... Urlacher... The sound of crunching and grunting as snow whirls in off the lake. The Aints had no chance in this one. That Bear defense is something else...
Hey guys, remember when most championship games were played in bad weather ? These teams work all year to get here; if the climate is not so good, so be it. That's football.
The Saints chose to practice indoors all week. They then went out and coughed it up a number of times. Even when they got it back they lost over 20 yds on one fumble. They just weren't ready for Jan. in Chicago.
It's not the weather, it's the sloppy field. I know lots of teams have had to play on sloppy fields. It just seems to me that for the most important games of the year they should be played on good field conditions. What's the point of resoding fields late in the year beyond the growing season? Is it just so they will look good on TV? I have yet to see one of those resodding jobs work out.
Doc If they want fields in decent shape they shouldn't be playing 16 regular season games and then three weeks of playoffs leading up to the SB. It used to be that the season was 13 wks and ended while the grass was still growing. To expect golf greens in Jan. up north is a little unrealistic.
