The following article really pissed me off. Rahm wishes he was vaccinated earlier. Duh! I closed out my Draft Kings account. I can accept being DQ's for not having a correct scorecard and having to WD for an injury but getting axed after the 3rd round with a 6 shot lead for failing a Covid test is not something you can handicap or accept.

Going to be a barn burner of a finish.

DeChambesu on top by 1 but a slew of players 1 or 2 strokes back.

Koepka, crash and burn, DeChambesu crashing and burning, McIlroy flaming out. Looking like Loooie and Rahm

Rahm makes 2 great putts on 17 and 18 and is in the clubhouse at - 6, Loooie still on the course at - 5.

DeChambesu takes a very ugly 8 on 17 and is 8 over par for the back nine. Wheels came off is an understatement.

I wonder if the press will be eager to talk to him about his round. He went from leading at - 5 to +3 and outside the top 25.

Loooie makes a huge mistake off the tee on 17, hits it into the Hazzard.

Very entertaining Open. I didn't realize Louie was a neighbor (ranch in Ocala 30 mi. away) Glad to see Rahm win he really kept his game while the rest were making big mistakes. Was impressed with Louie's shot after taking a drop but the missed putt sealed his fate. How the hell does DeChambeau go 30 straight holes without a boggy and then throw a 44 on the back 9?

Louie is out. I offered to drive him in my golf cart but he wants to ride one of his horses.

Was looking at the FedEx Cup standings. Patrick Cantlay and Harris English are the top 2. The most notable stat I saw was that Jon Rahm has played in 18 events and finished in the top 10 a remarkable 12 times, one of them being the US Open win of course.

Quicken Loans this week at the Detroit Golf Club. My closest friend and my law partner both belonged there and I've played it many times. The first time I watched this tournament I was really confused. The reason is that they've rerouted the course. They actually start on what is the 8th hole and they finish the front on what is actually the 7th. Further confusing is the 3rd hole which instead of being the first hole on the North Course the one that they're playing, they use the first hole of the South course that is parallel to the 1st on the North. The tees are further back and the tee shots land much closer to the green but other than that, I'm reliving many rounds.

OK I just don't get it. Now Matsuyama tests positive and has to withdraw from a tournament. What the hell is going on with PGA pros? After Rahm tested positive, I assumed that any other unvaccinated pro would get the jab. Guess some would rather get infected and get DQ'd from tournaments.
