Wow, I did not surprised that we won, but am surprised at how. That opening kickoff stunned me and had me very worried. But these Gators would not be denied.

First time ever that the NCAA Basketball and Football Champions are from the same school.

Ohio State had a terrific season and are to be congratulated.

The Ohio State fans here on Skybox are a very classy and enjoyable group and I have enjoyed talking to you about this game and other times on Skybox.

It's unfortunate that Ginn got hurt and it may have been a different dynamic if he had not gone out.

I will have trouble sleeping tonight.

Special congrats to Chris Leake who was just great. In control from the first snap until he left the field. Glad to see him get such nice comments from the booth.

Mighty fine performance according to the scoreboard. I'll watch the game on Tivo around 3 a.m.

Fairly sober Terry but trying to remain humble.

This one came as a complete surprise.

Not the win but the fact that the perfect dream I had the other night came absolutely true.

What can you say other than these guys won the SEC....the SEC is not too shabby if a little better than average  :D (6-3)...and these Gators were the champs of that conference and were told for 35 days that OSU was an awesome team against which they had no chance.

That was a recipe for disaster from the start for OSU.

    Bill & MCG,

Things do not look a whole lot better this morning! :(

However, it was all Gators last night and I think you were in a better mind set for the game.

Meyer was well prepared and the offensive line and defensive lines just plain whipped us badly.

Local bb posts seem to agree.

Unfortunately Ted Ginn's ankle was injured in the post TD 93 yard TD run by one of his own teammates.

Not that the injury had anything to do with the outcome.

I have picked the Buckeyes correctly on this BB all season long. Even with my own point spreads. I could not have been more wrong this time.

The Gators were superior in every single facet of the game. Ginn's injury hurt the Buckeyes but would never have remotely changed the outcome of this matchup. It is rare that a team is dominated in every phase but from coaching right on down through the waterboys this game belonged to the Gators. Now I fully understand what SEC speed is!

Congratulations to all of you Gator fans. I am now a believer. Thank god I didn't quit my day job

Congratulations to Gator Fans and condolences to Buckeye fans. An old fashioned butt whooping. Now we ND fans have company in the bowl blowout club.

As a member of the Bowl Blowout crowd, my condolences to my Buckeye friends on this board who can find solace in the fact that they get to play against a Lloyd Carr coached team next year. And a hearty congrats to the Gator SB crew for their team's incredible victory. I thought that Urban would lead you to the promised land but I was sure wrong on the date and time.

That opening kickoff run by Ginn sure had me wondering about the speed thing, he blew by our guys like they were standing still.

Wow I didn't know how he got hurt, that's to bad.

Thanks all of you, I'm still in shock this morning.

I think that in Gainesville the Gator fans are going to be saying Steve Who?

What a defensive performance!! How often does one team's score = 50% of the opponent's total offensive yardage???

This morning, "41-14" is now on par with "52-20" ...... as needing no further explanation to anyone in the Gator Nation.

Hope Buckeye T is doin' okay.

    Go Gators!!!

    :D

I'm still in shock too Bill.

Our defensive ends Harvey and Moss looked like all-pro NFL rush ends with 4.6 speed chasing down Troy Smith.

Urban Meyer was a great bowl coach heading into the game and now he is a legendary bowl coach in my opinion.

What can you say about Chris Leak other than really feel good for him.
The kid has the most heart and determination and drive of just about anyone ever to put on a Gator uniform. A deserving MVP.

The real demonstration of speed was from the defensive line. I don't think the OSU OL were ready for the speed of the UF DL.

George......at least you were consistent in your erroneous prediction.

When the line went from an initial 8 1/2 down to 7 by gametime that's a pretty big move in one direction.

WoooHooo!! Wow, what a game! I was so excited last night, I burned my couch. Sure was cold this morning with the big hole in the living room wall, though.

I'm so happy for Leak, Reggie Nelson, Chris Hetland, Meyer, all of them! I cheer the loudest when Leak has a big play - especially running - and to see him so in control of this game from beginning to end was wonderful. I don't blame him for not wanting to let go of that crystal football! And I've never seen Meyer so happy on the sideline (or even look happy during a game for that matter), but when Wynn converted that 4th down near the end to continue running out the clock, he finally relaxed and enjoyed the moment. When he started jumping up & down, arms raised, I couldn't help but get get up & jump around with him. The dogs thought I had lost it, but I think they've learned to ignore random outbursts at the TV by now.

Congrats to OSU for a special season, but as others have said, it was the Gators' night. I knew we could do it. When the cooler was dumped on the Boise State coach in that same stadium, I had a 'vision' (don't want to sound like a whack) of a cooler being dumped on Meyer and him being happy about it. It couldn't have been a flashback, because the only time we've seen that is at the SEC game and he was definitely not happy after that dunking. From that point on I knew UF would pull out a win. And if anyone asked me in passing how the Gators would do, I told them we'd win with score like the LSU bowl score. Turned out it was exact. Now if I had only put that in writing beforehand and better yet taken it to Vegas! Oh well, I didn't because I was pretty much joking because who would actually believe that's what would happen?! I still can't believe it.

    Congratulations Gators!!!!!!!!

BSU was all Orange and Blue and I sorta liked that as an omen.
