Posts are starting to pop up on the net that guys have heard it on the radio, that "sources" are saying that he's told the Dolphin assistants he's gone.

Nothing yet on any of the sports sites like ESPN or Sportsline though.

I sure wish I could listen to Fienstein!

If there's still time for the Fins to up the offer, I wouldn't consider it final. Money talks and St. Nick walks.

I find this situation incredible. I guess saying "I am not going to coach at Alabama" doesn't mean much?

The Dolphins are not going to pay him more so I guess he is going to Alabama.

He's a good coach, but other than the one National Championship he won at LSU I don't recall him coaching teams that were that outstanding.

But hey, more power to him and Alabama.

Saban's "NC" at LSU was bogus. USC was #1 in both polls...

Ha! That's a good one. So the game means nothing, we're back to just polls. I'll have to remember that one. No. 1 plays No. 2 and No. 3 becomes the NC. Obviously we don't need a playoff after all.

JO'Co, I believe you are wrong, USC was not first in both polls.

Prior to the BCS Championship game Oklahoma was first in both polls and USC was second in both polls and the computers put LSU into the Championship game.

After LSU won, the Coaches poll had LSU #1 and the AP had LSU number one.

It was a split Championship, and how USC would have done against Oklahoma we will never know.
