All joking aside, the creator of the group must choose either straight or confidence points which cannot be changed once the contest begins.
Just a friendly reminder that our contest begins this Saturday the 26th. Be sure you get your picks in before the games commence in the 10 picks.
It took me a minute to figure out how to move the games around so you have the confidence points that you want for each game. Only 10 games will be interesting to see how it all sorts out for us, I suspect that the Stu-crew, and Tom/Cindy will still be tops!
Selecting the confidence points can be a bit tricky with picking move and waiting a few seconds to see the here part. Once you know what to expect it becomes relatively easy. I am wondering how ESPN will handle teams that cannot play at the last moment? I presume they will either simply call it a push and eliminate our picks and waive the points?
Question: Anyone figure out how to see other group member's picks after the game starts? The money contest which is run by a former coworker is on CBS and I can see them there but not on ESPN. As for retirement, we have not targeted a specific area yet. My mother is in Chattanooga, Tennessee and the main reason for moving is to be closer to her in case she needs help. She is 82 years old now. My brother is in Lyman South Carolina (close to Greenville). We are thinking some small town between the two.
Interesting when you look at the standings I'm getting credit for 29 points, but I only have 19 points locked up, they are giving me credit for games my picks are leading right now but the game isn't over.
ESPN is quite different than Yahoo on the number of picks and how they score the games. Looks like confidence points might be much more important with only ten picks available. I removed my JustInTime entry as no one else chose to create a second entry. Lady Vol leads the pack after our first week of picking scores. Lone Star Irish close behind.
Picks for this week aren't available yet. I wonder if they will wait a bit so that they have a good sense that one of the 10 games won't be postponed or cancelled.
I entered a group last year on ESPN Pick'em and now seem to remember the picks generally are not up until mid-afternoon on Monday? Sid might have more accurate information. Sooner or later picks will be forced to change due to cancellations due to Covid testing.
You are correct, Don. Until this year, I was in both Yahoo and ESPN Pick'em games. The ESPN games were posted sometime during the day on Mondays.
