Buckeyes left it all on the field, Don. That was a great game between two sensational teams.

"Well, I found out tonight Clemson belongs. They are tenacious."

Pretty sure you are quite familiar in a bad way with the Clemson brand Kp... but I agree this year's version was a little bit of a mystery.... until tonight.
LSU vs. Clemson might be the highest scoring Title game ever.

Terry, it seemed that LSUs defense got better as the season went along. Hurts had a bad night and that contributed or.was.caused by the LSU defense. The LSU receivers made Burrow look even better than he already is. It will be interesting to see.how this one plays out.

MCG, that's the thing about college football, each year every team loses 20-25% of their team at least, so the only way for anyone to know how good a team is this year is by gauging their performance against quality competition. I feel for Texas A&M. They had 5 losses and 3 of those losses were to No. 1's (at the time).

Agreed Kp that each year in CFB is obviously an unknown but Clemson certainly had many elements left over this year from last year's very deserving national champion.
Yes the Aggies caught a bad break playing that very tough schedule and were probably more like a 9-3 team playing a normally tough schedule.
I'm feeling pretty good about UF's performance this year because they actually led LSU in the 3rd quarter at their place and if not for that late int by SEC Freshman of the Year Stingley the Gators had driven down the field in the 4th quarter to tie it at 35-35. And the Gators played Georgia competitively before losing by 7 although that's the game that was so costly with regard to any hopes of a great season.... that was a killer and prevented UF another opportunity vs. LSU in Atlanta.... which in retrospect after watching them demolish OU last night is most likely a good thing.
Damn the Baton Rouge Tigers on offense are as about as good as I have ever seen and Burrow with those receivers is just so much fun to watch. Even my wife who is definitely not a football fan says LSU is fun to watch believe it or not. :)
Looking forward to LSU vs. Clemson.

Looking back, there was a play in the second period that had a significant impact on the game. Dobbins was in route to the endzone ripping off another long run when Muse (19) dove and tripped him up at about the 7 yd. line. Clemson kept OSU out of the end zone and instead of being up 20-0 the score was 16-0. More importantly at the end the Buckeyes trailed by 6 instead of 2. They'd gotten into FG range when Fields threw that int.

Agreed. OSU's inability to score TD's from the red zone left the opening that Clemson exploited.

I wonder where USC would be today if instead of bringing in Sark to replace Kiffin they had gone with the interim coach who went 6-2 after taking over for Kiffin....Eddie O?

Eddie-O never fit the culture at USC. They laughed at him, even when he won.

I'd rather SEC win the NC, than ACC... but the Kitties?
    Arrghh...
Well it'll be even more sweet when we knock their d!cks in the dirt next year at Kyle.
So there... I guess I found a way to not want them to lose.

Big Night for the Tigers coming up!! I was at a dinner party with a couple who are big LSU fans, they went to the SEC Championship game, they went to the Peach Bowl and now the Nat'l Title game. What did they want to talk about? The poor treatment Texas gave their fans and team in Austin to start the season and they are looking for payback in Baton Rouge next season. :)

I think Clemson is going to break their hearts though! ACC, ACC, ACC, ACC!!!

Should be interesting. I think with these 2 high scoring offenses, it.is going to be up to the defenses. Which one can slow down the other offense best. SEC, SEC, SEC, SEC!!!;)

I think if both teams play their best LSU wins, but both of these teams are.so dependent on their qbs that it will come down their individual efforts

unrelated to the game: I am glad to see you posting KP. I was worried about you with the storms and all.

It's a rare day when I am actually rooting for an SEC team, but here we are. It's SEC, SEC vs PED, PEDs. :)
