Thanks Tim, somehow I missed that entry. Generally the entries are listed in order of sign up.

I saw an early list of 2020 Heisman Candidates. Not a lot of surprises, Trevor Lawrence was on there, as was Justin Fields, but also listed were Bo Nix and Mac Jones along with USC's Kedon Slovis.

We'll get to see those guys in the bowls this season. Great bowl performance will boost their chances.

Of the meaningless bowl games who has the most to gain/lose.

You'd have to say Michigan. Harbaugh is 0-5 v OSU and 2-11 vs other top 10 programs. Beating Alabama would be a tremendous way to end the season and set up 2020. Losing just continues the misery

Texas..it's been a miserable season, but a good win over a good Utah team to end the season and with new coordinators coming for 2020, that would leave Texas fans in a good mood. Lose and well it's not a Happy New Year in Austin.

On the other hand both Notre Dame and Florida are in no win situations.

If the Gators end up with a hard fought win over a team Clemson absolutely blew out of the stadium ..it's meh. If they somehow lose..armageddon.

If the Irish have just a win, not a big win, over Iowa State ..Irish fans will be unimpressed and the calls for Kelly to resign will not subside. If they lose, get the tar and feathers.

I've actually decided to take a break from reading most all of the ND boards. They're filled with dudes who never played and blowhards who can't hold a reasonable discussion about the athletic journeys of very young men. It's honestly just unreadable to me these days. It's like reading a debate on dentistry from JOCO and I. I mean, we know what a tooth brush, paste and floss are. We know the basic premises of self-care, but we're not pros. At the end of the day, we'd just be two dudes talking out of our ass with just enough information to be dangerous. That's what reading the ND boards is like to me.

I agree with both of your posts though, those 4 teams are up against it in the bowls.

Corey, life can be challenging at times as you well know, but many sports bulletin boards can be terribly aggravating. Same thing with current politics, the day of sound reasoning and discussion seem to have disappeared. Personally I just find myself not paying much attention the the rants and insults anymore. Thank goodness we have very few problems here on the Skybox!:)

By the way Skyboxers 2018 and Skyboxers are still active from prior years. At first I joined Skyboxers then realized I was the only member.

Then I found my way to this years contest.

Over the years I've learned that the bowl results rarely turn out as predicted. Scott, taking flyers is a good idea. Who knows? You may hit the jackpot.

Well looks like none of us picked Kent State to upset Utah State!

I knew Utah State had a great QB, but I had no idea their defense was that bad. Holy cow.

The Golden Flashes pretty much had their way when running the ball for sure. Those five field goals didn't hurt either.

Washington sure gave Chris Petersen a good send off, Boise State never was in the game.
