He was also manager of the Miracle Mets in 1969, then dropped dead of a stroke. For some reason, the HOF penalizes people for dying young. Addie Joss was the greatest pitcher in baseball in the early 20th century, but he died of meningitis days before the start of his 10th season. They kept him out of the HOF for 67 years...

Another example is Thurman Munson. His numbers are almost identical to Roy Campanella, but he's almost forgotten now. The HOF is losing credibility.

MLB is threatening that the Astros could be in for a more severe penalty than just $$ and draft choices. Is it possible that they will take the unprecedented move of vacating the WS Title the Astros won in 2017?

The assumption that the Astros were the only one's cheating is almost certainly wrong. We haven't heard much from the lawyers yet, have we? There's no clamber to expand the investigation. All the rats and cockroaches are hiding, quietly......somewhere...hoping that the spotlight doesn't fall on them. The quiet in Dodgertown has been especially ominous.

I saw a graphic of the Top 3 Astro hitters in the 2017 playoffs contrasting their home batting averages with their road efforts. A stunning discrepancy. Conclusive? No, but certainly thought provoking.

The Houston Asterisks does have a nice ring to it. How about the merchandise for alt uniforms? :)

2017 road record was better than the home record? If we were really serious about cheating seems like it would be reversed.

Yeah this whole thing is weird. There's no denying that was an incredible team.

Gerrit Cole set to become the highest paid pitcher ever, Yankee's have made an organizational decision to get Cole, open up the wallets. Of course both the Angels and Dodgers have some deep pocket books and have yet to be heard from. Jim Crane, Astros owner, said the Astros were going to make an offer, but I doubt if the Astros have the $$$ to get into that sort of bidding war.
