One of my favorite movies of all time is Midway with Charlton Heston and Henry Fonda. Watched it last week. Went to see the remake Thurs. I found it riveting. The cinematography was just fantastic. I note that critics didn't like it but audiences really like it. It's been a while since I went to a movie and didn't look at my watch once. I might go and see it again.

There is a series on Netflix called The Spy with Sacha Baron Cohen. I thought it was great.
Also, I made some time today to watch The Irishman. That was a work of art. Good movie, very long though.

I watched The Irishman 2x over the holiday weekend. I had to be sure they were accurate! Pesce was outstanding. He lives nearby in Mantoloking at the Jersey shore. He just put the house on the market for $6 mil. I've seen him around at Eagle Oaks CC which is about a mile from my office and in the summer he can be found often at Monmouth Park race track. Loves the ponies and smokes a cigar about as long as he is tall.

Looks like a good one! Thought Daniel Craig was done with Bond? Which is unfortunate because he's surpassed Connery as my favorite.

He is done. The chick that threatens him in the trailer s scheduled to be his "replacement".
This will be my last go with MI6.
Bond is the only 00 for me... Just because SJW's demand he be replaced by a woman doesn't mean fans will flock to the next film. I sure won't.

Yeah he announced that he was finished as Bond but the kazillion dollars they offered him lured him back for one more evidently. I’m right there with you with him surpassing Connery as my favorite as well.

I will be over with the series if they go SJW mode, sorry but tradition is what it is.... My mother recently deceased and I would watch all the Bond movies and it’s her who hooked me onto Bond which is kinda crazy thinking about it. I guess dear mom had a thing for secret agents

I watched the Irishman this week, it was good but not great. I didn't know the whole thing was going to be about Jimmy Hoffa till his character was introduced. I'll bet a lot of millenials who watch go..who's Jimmy Hoffa?

On Netflix, there's a short series called "Don't F**ck With Cats" and if you love journeys into the darkness of the human soul, this is for you. Also, it's a true story.

On Netflix, the series 'The Witcher' is pretty good. If you're afraid of getting burned emotionally by bad writing like you did with Game of Thrones, you should know that the 8 book Witcher series is basically complete so you don't have to worry about getting 'Season 8'ed'

I haven't watched Narcos but everybody who has watched it says it's really good.

Right now I just finished the Netflix series YOU, and it was really good . Started in on The Outsider on HBO. First 2 episodes are really good.

On HBO there is a series called 'McMillions' and I absolutely love it. The thing about this show is that every time you think you've figured out just how absurd and how deep it goes, it just keeps going. Plus, there's a real character of an FBI agent interviewed as part of it. I believe the final episode is on tonight, or Monday. If you have HBOGO or OnDemand, you can get caught up on the past episodes.

Also, I'm looking forward to watching that series on Amazon called "Hunters" which is about nazi hunting.
