Florida has won 9 straight games dating back to last season and that doesn't even take into account the epic win over 5th ranked LSU before the Georgia buzzsaw last season.

However with three games in the next 30 days vs. teams ranked in the current top 7 in the country.... 2 of them away from the Swamp suffice it to say that the winning streak is going bye bye.

Seriously does anyone else have anything close to such a schedule in the next 30 days?

I would say win one of those three and beat a scrappy South Carolina in Columbia sandwiched in as a "breather" and UF is looking at possibly a 10-2 season if all turns out well but easily could be 9-3 or 8-4 at the end with Missouri always a pain in the ass.

    Outback Bowl looks likely.

Good news is that you at least have the opportunity to do something really great and win all 3 of those games and be in the conversation for the CFP. Sure reality is it will be a tough road to beat both Auburn and LSU back to back. But neither team is Georgia or Alabama. Auburn will bring a true freshman QB who your Gator defense can rattle, and LSU defense might not be a great defense and Trask can shine.

So.Carolina is a trap game for sure, but you should win. They have a true freshman who might be a little beat up after Alabama and Missouri. He was only 13-30 in the loss to Mizzu. Gatorbait it would seem.

LOL Terry..... I think if they did that it's more than just in the conversation.... it would be a virtual lock even with a loss to Bama in the SEC Championship game.
Alas.... that's just the stuff of dreamers though.....:)

The question on the CFP these days is will the SEC get two teams into the CFP. Certainly could happen if both UGA and Alabama reach the SECCG undefeated. Or really if Fla or Auburn or LSU also reach the SECCG undefeated. The Pac 12 is not projected to have a CFP team right now, but the B12 with OU and the Big 10 with Ohio State ( and Wisconsin if they beat OSU in a couple of weeks) have contenders.

Clemson will likely be undefeated, that's 1, SEC Champ is 2, Big 10 Champ (if undefeated OSU) is 3 and Big 12 Champ ( if undefeated OU) is 4.

The what if's come in when the neither the B12 or the B1G produce an undefeated champion. Then a 1 loss UGA or UF or Alabama or LSU or Auburn would be competing for slots and could get in depending on how those losses look. Last year Ohio State had a horrible loss at Purdue, they couldn't over come that no matter how the rest of the season played out and OU which was also a 1 loss team but in a tight exciting game to a Sugar Bowl bound Texas got them the nod over the Buckeyes.

If any of those SEC teams has one loss after winning the SEC in Atlanta then I say they are a lock.
If an undefeated SEC team loses in SEC CG in Atlanta then it probably does matter if the Big 10 or 12 have an undefeated champion.
I don't think Florida can be that team.... with an OL that just isn't jelling yet in the running game Mullen doesn't have enough hokus pocus running plays he can call that will sustain a championship run with that schedule in front of the Gators. I do think the defense is a high caliber unit capable of being championship quality but without a decent running game in the SEC things can get tough.

I don't think Alabama will be undefeated at the end of the season. Right now I am hoping it is one loss. I think Georgia has the best chance at being the undefeated one. I think LSU may take the west. The SEC may not have an undefeated team this year.

If there are no undefeated SEC teams in the regular season, then I don't think the loser of the SECCG has a prayer of being a 2nd SEC team in the playoff. I would agree that UGA has the best chance of an undefeated regular season. Alabama and LSU have lights out offenses this year, LSU defense is vulnerable as we could see in the Texas win, so unlike that game back when the Hat and Saban battled to something like a 9-6 game in 2011, this one could be 39-36. Auburn is the wild card, they could pull some upsets as they do have a very stout defense.

Clemson is the team with the easiest path to the CFP, and they've already survived their annual near upset by a team they should beat by 3 TD's or more.
