    He was an all around excellent athlete. Played both ways and even punted for the Buckeyes.Grew up in Columbus and played for the Old Central High School. RIP.

    I didn't start following college football till 1956 so I don't remember him as a player but as I got to know things beyond the Irish I remember learning about him, thought his nickname was cool. Like so many great players of his era they were tremendous 2 way players.
