It's college football Corey.... anything can happen and winning games is sometimes pretty difficult... even against what on paper looks like beatable opposition. For that reason I give Tenn a chance vs. Florida this Sat. and I certainly give ND a chance vs. Georgia.
Corey, I know you like to not like the SEC and you like to pretend the college football world is against Notre Dame. Of course Notre Dame has a real good chance of beating Georgia. They are not the favorite, but hell there is a "not the favorite" in every game, every weekend.
Georgia would seem to have all the advantages in this game. The odds say it’s a loss. We’ll see what happens. I’m just crazy enough to think the Irish can pull this off.
Can't say, but Lou Holtz could do a great imitation of him. It's how he got his teams fired up for tough games........and it usually worked.
What do Notre Dame and a hedgehog have in common? The former has no business being between the hedges!! Hey I just made that one up! ( Lou would be proud... lol )
Dill's Food City, which has locations in neighboring cities Lavonia and Royston, Ga. (30-40 miles away from Athens), posted to social media earlier this week a sign that noted its Irish Spring soap was "temporarily out of stock." If you only bathe once a week, would you even notice?
The Georgia alum/fans that I know have been so eager to talk football this week with me and I just return the favor by being splendid and friendly with a heaping tablespoon of 'whoa is us, we have no chance.' I think it's starting to wear on them. At the same time, I see no reason to go into it trash talking since we are such a decided underdog and every ESPN talking head saying we're going to get blown off the field. I guess the boys will just show up and hope for the best.
Georgia has more talent than anyone in the country,if you believe the "stars". That doesn't always translate into wins and that is why they still play the game.
Well virtually nobody is giving the Irish a chance, not the TV/Radio gurus, not even the majority of the ND fans, the most hopeful are hoping for a close loss. I think most thought we'd lose to Clemson but felt like we had a shot, this time it seems like nobody thinks we have a shot. This reminds me a little of the 2005 ND/USC game, USC was undefeated, with Reggie Bush, Matt Lienart and a ton of talent on both sides of the game, defending Nat'l Champions. USC was the Alabama of the early 2000's. Turned out to be a close game we almost won. So as kp says...we still have to play the game.
I have not talked one word of trash prior to this game and I received this same meme 5 times today. I think they're pretty excited for the Irish.
