Quite an ending for the Houston/Tulane game. With time running out and the game tied at 31, Tulane lined up at their own 29, in what appeared to be a runout the clock formation and go to OT, but instead they handed the ball off and got 18 yds. Then with 12 seconds left they threw a 53 yd TD pass caught between 3 UH defenders...game over. UH is now 1-3 not the start they envisioned when they brought Holgerson from WVA.
Ouch, Kedon Slovis is planted on the turf by the 330 lb DL and is out of the game after 3 plays. 3rd string qb, Matt Finke, comes in marches them down the field like he's the #1, for the TD. Utes answered right back. Might be a good old shoot-out!
Where are all of these good QB's coming from? This could be a real shootout? Finkes just scored again.
Pretty salty first half, a ton of penalties on the USC defense. Their all Samoan DL looks formidable.
Both squads struggling at the half, penalties galore, the shootout has ended and both teams are playing conseratively for the most part.
Don how is it that the biggest Big 10 game of the weekend, Mich/Wisconsin, is stuck in the noon time slot? It's one of the top 3 games this weekend along with ND/UGA and A&M/Auburn.
Good question Terry, TV is dictating all of the starting times. I figured it would be a 3:30 game. Forcast for Madison today is chilly and rain. That is probably not in Michigan's favor either. Should be a good game to watch.
I noticed something on the B1G network, I think they are marketing it as the 'Big Noon kickoff' or something like that. Maybe it's just a network thing trying to space the games out? I really don't know, but I'm glad I'll be able to watch this and the Ole Miss/Cal game.
I was looking forward to so many games early today and almost all of the are blowouts. I'm just gonna leave the Cal/Ole Miss game on. I was really hoping for some knock down, drag out brawls. If I have to resort to watching Sparty take on Northwestern, I'm gonna be pissed.
