George... <t>Trust me that our opinions on Z are well shared in the ND community. I enyoy reading other thoughts on Z but anyone that has watched this secondary for the last two years and not seen abysmal breakdown after breakdown to me is really not paying attention. No doubt Sid is correct in the comments on schemes and poor coaching of these guys but as a group they are all not even close to what Weis has to get to win a BCS bowl game. Hopefully Gray and the new ones will be good enough to amp up the poor performances of this current mess we have back there now.<br/> <br/> Lets revisit this after the LSU game. For the record I pray Z and the rest show up and have a great game. These bowl blowouts are embarrassing.</t>
Sid, I don't disagree with a thing you said except I am not holding TZ solely responsible... if you re-read my last post I talk about them collectively. I'm simply amused that anyone from that group could be considered an AA at their position. For the record I think that Mike Richardson is far and away the best DB in the bunch. Terry, I don't want to get on your bad side. I may find myself in Houston one day with a toothache.....
This is not going to make George's day!! Tommy Z was named to another All-American Team. He made the 3rd team AP All-American Team. A lot of people consider that AP team the gold standard. AP All-American Team
Wow! It's hard to believe there are only four safeties in America better than Tommy Z when three of them are on the ND roster
Well he is in good company, Michael Griffin of Texas played safety on the 108th best pass defense in the country....and he had help from Aaron Ross another AP All-American who also won one of those awards for best DB.
