Oh man I forgot another big game....
So.Carolina v N.Carolina. This is reportedly Will Muschamp's best team and he's going against the debut of Mack Brown in his second coming at Chapel Hill. Don't know who will win, but Muschamp will out yell Mack that's for sure, but Mack can out cry Will!

True story..... during a UF-LSU game years ago when Wild Will was the coach at Florida a drunk Gator fan kept yelling and encouraging the Gators to "Do it for Carol".... and he supplemented that loudly with "when the Gators lose Will beats her somethin fierce"... spoken in drunk redneck speak of course.
Terribly inappropriate but given the rep that Muschamp already had of intensity and aggression it was humorous.

It was horribly inappropriate as I say but it was intended as a jab at Muschamp and his intense and heavily observed behavior.

Alabama suspended #1 and #2 running backs and starting receiver and starting linebacker for first half of opening game with Duke. Apparently they all missed a team function. I hope Tua is ready!

I saw that, I imagine you guys have enough depth to handle Duke for a half! ;)

I did not know that Rich Rodriguez and Mike McIntyre were both at Ole Miss, RR as the OCoord, and Mac as the DCoord. Matt Luke is a Ole Miss Legacy, played there as did his dad and older brother. But his 2 years as the HC haven't been great, they are 4-12 in SEC play. He's got some high powered Coordinators now though. Be interesting to see how things workout for him this year. Legacy or not I imagine he's got to at least get to .500 this year. They play Memphis to open the season. Memphis Coach Mike Norvell is one of those "hot" young coaches, while he hasn't had the success that somebody like Scott Frost had at UCF, he's done a pretty good job and another good year and his name will be out there when the carousel gets rolling.

You will have it all sorted out before you play Clemson in Jan.
Bama is probably three deep at every position anyway..... as is Clemson.
The rest of us with the slightly possible exception of Georgia and Oklahoma are just chumps.

It is getting worrisome. So many hits at one position is the problem.

That was a massive loss for the Tide. I hear he's gone for the season?

Safe Trip Scott, and make sure you load up at lunch since that's the last decent meal you'll get for a day or two! The Food Channel never goes to College Station/Bryan! ;);)

Yeah, while there are few teams out there with the roster and depth that the Tide have every year...there is a limit to what that depth can cover. Playing players who were highly recruited but really not quite ready for major college starting job is never a good thing.
