I'm sure I'll see your update on Facebook, but make sure you do it here as well, for your second family...
Just want to join in with Scott's request. I am not a Facebook member so the only way I can find out how you are doing is what I read here. My best wishes. Bob
Yeah I am pretty excited abot that developmeng. I'm still rqther concerned qvout there being discoery of qny ine,
well there are still a lot of problems. i can barely type anymore. I can't walk without a walker an and even, it's kind of a disaster. I'm losing huge huge chunks of time. I'm being sen to a neurologist for this. Also, it appears the Dr hasn't ruled out cancer like we thought. He wants to keep an eye on this because if there is any growth, then there's cancer.
I had several procedures done today and tests run because there was suppose to be a fundraiser run for me tonight by this mental health rights group that I helped create. Well, the same guy who has drug his feet getting the 501.3c is the same guy who decided it would be better to have one big fund raiser rather than me just spamming with links. I was in and out of the hospital all day, but from what I gather, the fun raiser went on with absolutely none of it going to me. I'm gonna beat that dude's ass until I can't stand anymore and then I'm gonna beat it with the walker.
Hey guys, I have my 2nd round of testing that starts this week (Wednesday) and a series of biopsies soon thereafter. My testing will continue on from Wednesday and go through June where I'll be seeing a few specialist down at UAB. This is my last go 'round fund raising. If you can spare anything, or even share the links with groups of people, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you. I received a phone call Friday night from the Dr's office. It was from our nurse with the ENT office so she barely could pronounce the name, let alone much more information about the cancer, but make no mistake, it's cancer. I have an appointment that was suppose to be in July, but they moved it up to Tuesday. If anyone still wanted to make donations, the GoFund Me had to be temporarily disabled because some asshole was trying to steal our information. Right now, the only working fund raiser is my Pay Pal at: paypal.me/CoreyOConnor14
According to the ENT guy, I have Invasive Squamous Cell Carcinoma which is really odd considering that it was on my tonsil. I'll find it more info tomorrow.
Tonsil is a common site along with the tongue for oral CA. I'm surprised though that all those tests you have been through and all the physical problems you are experiencing and the diagnosis is the Oral/Head/Neck squamous cell. Is there more?
I am going to a specialist down in Birmingham to check on just that. In the patient report they gave us, it said they didn't get all of the cancerous skin simply with the removal of the tonsil. I know I have some extreme arthritis in the knee which explain my difficulty walking. After visiting the specialist, they should be able to stage the level of cancer and explain a lot more. Also, I do have bone lesions all over still which certainly contribute to the pain. They should also be able to determine if the cancer in my throat has been the cause of the bone lesions.
A silent stalker to this site suggested that I make an update, because they were broadsided by the truth earlier today. They had read my earlier post in which I said there was no cancer. It turns out that I spoke too soon because on my last round of testing/diagnostics etc, they found that I do have cancer. It's probably going to be an ugly fight depending upon whether or not they got it soon enough. As it is now, the ENT guy left some cancerous skin behind because he was only doing a tonsillectomy. I start going too UAB at the end of this week.
Thanks for the updates Corey. I’ll even root for the Irish to beat Michigan this October as moral support for your return to good health.
Bobda, does it help the I and other ND fans are rooting for Michigan in the CWS? Could this be the start of an historic detente?...................Nah!
Don’t worry about that Corey. Had to sign that away 37-years ago to some guy with goatee and cloven feet after I passed the bar exam.
