Bethpage Black. The course that has a warning sign associated with it..that is don't play it unless you are really a good golfer! If the weather holds it should be a great test of golf. Story lines of course all revolve around Tiger. I like Koepka to win this one though.
Koepka goes really low, shoots 63. His last birdie to get to -7 was a long putt he hit perfectly. Tiger got back to -1 then his putter went south and he putted himself down the leader board and finished at +2.
Not sure but they are saying that you need to make your birdies on 1-6 because after that it's tough.
The course is pretty soft since it's been wet on Long Island for some days. The rough looks difficult but not Open nasty. The weather is somewhat cool for someone with a history of back surgeries. I see where Daley is allowed to use a cart. Won't help his game much but at least he has somewhere to keep his beer.
Koepka is really playing well and has a 7 shot lead going into tomorrow. Tiger did not even make the cut this go around. Somehow I am really not surprised.
Koepka continues to dominate, it's like the real tournament is for 2nd place and it's really competitive!
Wow Koepka in trouble! I figured he'd breeze home with an easy win, now he's in a dog fight with Dustin.
Well Dustin Johnson went off the rails right when he had closed to 1 shot.. Looks like Koepka will hang on to win. Johnson has now finished 2nd in all four majors.
I agree Stu, I think that USGA isn't coming back to Bethpage because of the crowds in 2009. This would never happen in Augusta, this was more like the Waste Management in Phoenix with New Yorkers. Rory complains a lot about the crowds getting more out of hand at a lot of tournaments. I think it's more of the mentality of other sports finally bleeding over into golf, not sure how they'll turn the tide. Basketball crowds, baseball crowds, football crowds, hockey crowds are all considered great if they are loud, obnoxious, yelling at players, booing the other team. Football crowds are encouraged to do as much as they can to disrupt the visitors.
