I typed a post earlier before we left for friends house for dinner and watching the games. The game was pretty even when I made my aborted attempt to post, sorry. Gators certainly came to life in the second half and like Terry said hopefully the Gators have exorcized some demons. I feel very comfortable that Coach Mullen is the man to lead the Gators and hopefully be in a class with Spurrier and Meyer. Thanks for the congratulations and sorry I was so late to the table.
I'm happy for you, Dave and Gator Nation including Solari. I keep thinking of that clip of Bo say "the team, the team, the team" and wonder what his reaction would be to those players who sat out the bowl game who were probably saying "the contract, the contract, the contract."
Ironically Gipper the defensive MVP of the game for UF Chauncey Gardner-Johnson... the kid with the two picks.... was the only pre-game declaration for the NFL draft for Florida. He might have made himself millions today.
Florida was hitting on all cylinders. I really feel bad for Harbaugh....bwahahahaha! Maybe he can have spring practice in Poughkeepsie!!!
Wow, with all of the insults I've taken as.the.only Alabama fan, that's the first time I've been called a dick.
I don't think, if you review the SB archives of my comments, even remotely falling into the category of being an Alabama basher or feeling the need to take a cheap shot at your program immediately after an Alabama loss ( though Bama losses, in contrast to M are pretty rare).
Sorry, kp. You deserved that one. No one's perfect. I don't care for Harbaugh at all, but it's never dawned on me to issue a two-sentence, intentionally insulting post. If you truly were sorry, you could have edited or even deleted the insult instead of posting a fake apology. P.S. I don't know of anyone here, including Bobda, who doesn't respect Nick Saban and the Alabama football program. That includes yours truly.
I will say that Bob is one of those guys who rarely if ever takes a shot at another team. No doubt he has no love for ND or Ohio State but he's always gracious to ND and Ohio State fans on this board. I wish I could claim to be as gracious as Bob, I've made more than my share of posts that are less than gracious.
KP, Don't self censor your comments as I usually really enjoy reading your well thought out postings, and I get it that Harbaugh, for most CFA fans, is as popular as the shingles virus. But, when Michigan gets waxed again in a big game next year, I would be grateful if you gave the only Blue mourner on this board just a small amount of time to grieve in relative peace before making whatever comments you feel appropriate about the mourner's departed team, overated coaching staff, fans, cheerleaders etc. It is kind of like funeral home etiquette which imposes a ban of waiting until the hearse pulls away and the mourners are in their cars before honestly mentioning that the dead SOB better have packed asbestos pajamas in his casket. Sid, Thanks.
Dave, in the past 25 years, Florida has won as many NCs as the entire Big 10 ( or more if you count 97 as a split between Neb and Mi). You guys are CF bluebloods. Being the flagship school in a state overflowing with talent and with Mullen now in charge, Bill and you deserve to be excited about the Gators future.
